Yes--and I really should be going to bed :rotfl:

I just want to see who wins fan favorite--I think it's between Carla and Fabio

OMG! That clip of Elia going after Tom next week because of where he gets his beef? :scared1:

I was looking at Tom's 4 restaurants here in NYC earlier. One is a steak house. He lists the farms he gets his steaks from on his menu.

He also opened a new restaurant (last fall, I think.) Tom won the James Beard Award last year. I really want to go to this new restaurant. It actually has food that I'd eat and want to try. :thumbsup2 Some of his dishes at his other restaurants are a little too exotic for me.

Really Mike, you think Jen Carroll should be fan favorite????? Me think someone gots the hots for her.

I do agree with what he said about who shuld have went home earlier.

Carla is fan favorite!

$10,000!!! :woohoo:

She looks great in magenta. :thumbsup2

Win-win for many of us then. Richard won TC and Carla fan fave!!!! I think that couldn't have been written better. :cloud9:

The menu looks good! Not too far from work either :scratchin

Just saw the ending ... Whoo Hoo! And I see that Carla won Fan Favorite. That's a DOUBLE win as far as I'm concerned :).

I'm happy for Richard.

As for Mike wanting Jen to win. If they are good friends, then that makes sense. You don't have to be crushing on someone to want the best for a friend.

That was the best finale ever! Most of the time I'm kind of ... meh, I hope so-and-so wins. But last night I was literally on the edge of my seat for the whole thing. I loved how they got to pick their sous chefs. Yay for Antonia in pulling herself together and doing her darndest for Richard. How funny was super-sneaky-spy Spike? :lmao:

At first I was thinking Mike would just tank considering he got Tiffany and Jamie. But boy did they all work well together and pulled together some lovely dishes.

I can only imagine how difficult the decision for the judges that night. So very glad for the outcome - I definitely had tears in my eyes.

:cheer2: Yay, Blais!!! :cheer2:

I'll have to head on down to DC when his place is open.

My comment was made not just on that fact that he wanted her to win, but numerous other things that he has previously said.

I really liked how the assistants were selected by amuse bouche. That meant that the chefs would select the flavor profile they liked the best. I laughed :happytv: when Richard selected Spike, but he was all-in for Richard. I am glad that Spike was such a spy and that Richard changed the ice cream between seatings :thumbsup2.

What a great season with a great ending. I thought Richard deserved to win and it was wonderful seeing how much it meant to him. Hubert Keller is my favorite chef so it was great seeing him as a final judge.

Yes, Spike "overhearing" the comments about the ice cream really helped Richard get it changed enough for the second wave of judges. I just had to laugh, though. Spike would have only been more obvious if he squatted down at a corner of the judges table and joined in the conversation! :rotfl:

Nice to see they both did well. Love that Richard offered Mike some money to open his own place if he wins--it's classy

Notice how Mike didn't offer Richard the same?

So glad that Richard won.

Will you all be watching Top Chef Masters? I wonder how Curtis will do as host -- I really didn't like the previous host (but loved the show), so I hope he'll be better.

Great finale to a great season! I'm really happy for Richard - I can't even imagine how devastated he would have been if he had lost.

I also really liked the fact that all the cheftestants participated in the finale, as diners, and were present for the announcement of the winner. It really added a lot to the moment. It was kind of a yawn when, in previous seasons, the winner would get a glass of champagne and a hug from the judges, and that's it.

I know his wife was unable to make the finale because of her pregnancy, but I was wondering about his parents. There was nothing in his bio or his Wiki page about them.

Looking forward to Top Chef Masters. Curtis Stone seems to be everywhere these days...Oprah, Biggest Loser...but I'll take him over Kelly Choi any day!

My pick for who stayed too long definitely, hands down (pun intended), would have been Jamie. :lmao:

::yes:: Blais's wife probably wants to kill him for that! lol

I am not really a Mike fan (nor a huge Blais fan for that matter - I was rooting for Antonia), but I did feel kind of badly for him at the end. He did a great job so kudos for that.

Blais's anxiety was really driving me :headache: He needs to work on that. Mike is a little "too" cocky for me, but I'd rather have that in a chef than the other way around, I suppose.

I think all of these guys get plenty of notoriety even if they don't win it all. I predict that great things will still happen for Mike (and many of the others). :goodvibes
