Top 5 Quintessential Disney Eateries & your Favorite Foods There!!!

One of my new fav places is Yak & Yeti.
This ⬆️ What a wonderful surprise for us (party of 5). Each of us said “wish we could eat here everyday “ !! Theming and food fit right in AK’s Asia section. The menu is much more extensive than what is shown on the Disney website. Delicious and fresh. Our server was delightful and greeted us with a “Namaste”.

I have a 14 year old, these would be on her list:

MK ~ this is the hardest one since MK has the worst food. 😬 Skipper Canteen for full service, CHH quick service. (She doesn’t like hot dogs so Casey’s is out for her, but it definitely deserves to be on this list.)

Epcot ~ Full Service, Le Cellier, Via Napoli, Teppan Edo. QS: hands down trying options at Food & Wine booths (Germany is her favorite), Les Halles, Yorkshire.

HS ~ FS: Sci-Fi. QS: Ronto Roasters (breakfast wrap), Baseline (best charcuterie in WDW). If they love Star Wars, go to Oga’s. They’ll love the Jabba Juice or Carbon Freeze.

AK ~ FS: Yak & Yeti. QS: Satu’li.

Never again on her list: Coral Reef, Il Mulino.
I know coral reef can be hit or miss for some folks but just curious what made her not want to go back to Coral Reef again?

Well you just cracked open a bunch of chaos and fun lol

Homecomin' at DS-literally anything. I will eat 99% of what is on this menu
Raglan Road @ DS-fish and chips, also really love whatever fish pie they have as a special
ABC Commissary at DHS- buffalo chicken gilled cheese, the mediterranean salad (now i want hummus....)
Milk stand at DHS- Blue Milk
Ice Cream @ AK-Anadanpour sweets by Expedition Everest ( I totally butchered that spelling)
Via Napoli @ EPCOT- I really like the caeser salad, the penn arribiate and the pizza with chicken sausage
Le Cellier @ EPCOT- Anything is good, but i hhighly reommend the cheddar cheese soup (its available at food and wine in the food booth)
La Hacienda de San Angel @ EPCOT-Short ribs, chorizo empanadas
Biergarten @ EPCOT-very good assortment but I am partial to the mac and cheese and chicken
If any festivals are going on at EPCOT i highly recommend trying those as well
Columbia Harbour House @ MK-its the platter with the fried chicken, fish and shrimp, new england clam chowder
Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast @ MK-Steak and eggs
Trattoria al Forno Breakfast @ Boardwalk-Al Forno Eggs
River Roost Lounge @ Port Orleans Riverside- Bayou Wings, loaded potato puffs, and if they have a burger on the menu get it.

( I am missing a few because I am doing this quickly before a meeting but this is off the top of my head-sorry for any spelling errors)

Thanks! We will probably avoid DS this trip to keep it close by but we will be there during F&W festival so that’s a great opportunity for them to try different stuff!! Columbia Harbor House platter sounds awesome!! At least for me lol!!! I’ve been going back and forth on Biergarten as I have always wanted to go but not sure everyone shares that opinion!!

Trattoria is right by us as we are at BWI so hopefully we can score that as it gets closer if it fits into our plans. The biggest planning problem is trying to maximize CL food/amenities and still get those quintessential dining opportunities! Thx for the QS ideas :)

Food.

Tried it twice - thought first time may be a once off since it was during COVID. Nope.

She loves fish too. We are happy to hear Flying Fish reopened. That is a family favorite we can all agree on.

I'd be leaning towards:
Hoop De Doo for sure, first and foremost.
Sci FI
50's Prime Time
Sautuli and or Flame Tree. Flame Tree for RIBS. Eat by the water and listen to the EE screams, and giggle at the birds trying to steal everyone's food.
Character meal for the cheesy experience. They might put their "guard" down and get hammy with the characters, and be kids again for a little while.

And everyone needs to try a Pineapple Float or a Dole Whip if they haven't already.

Must do Sci Fi because it is really different and very difficult to get a reservation . Good luck.
When is your trip arrival date? Might need some holiday suggestions too!
I have this age grandson and decided to experience OGAs Cantina and Trader Sam’s and Steakhouse 71 Bar Seating at the Contemporary. I was hoping to share that these locations are fun to experience without alcohol since I don’t drink. We also sat at the Bar at Yak & Yeti because table seating wasn’t available.
Iwas surprised how nice the bartenders always were to us ! Very classy and worth the Tip everytime .
Fun with Grandma !
Were you able to eat a full meal at the bar at Steakhouse 71?

My personal faves ----

If you're looking for characters and a unique buffet, Tusker House has a great blend of Asian, African, and American food plus fab five characters in Safari outfits!!

If you're staying at BoardWalk and won't have a car, I say skip anything at Animal Kingdom Lodge if you're thinking about those restaurants. Tusker House is a good replacement to Boma in my opinion.

Be Our Guest is breathtaking but food is eh for the price I think. Scoot over to Whispering Canyon Café at the Wilderness Lodge if you have time on your MK Day! Especially if you end up skipping Hoop Dee Doo. Great AYCE skillets.

I recommend Beaches and Cream for a cheaper meal and amazing desserts! Hard to snag an ADR but I think it's worth it.

If you're thinking about a dole whip with rum, your resort also has BoardWalk Joe's. Try the Captain's Seaside Sensation, it's Captain Morgan and Dole Whip smoothie. :)

We are bringing my son and his two friends (all 14). One of them has NEVER been to WDW and I’d like to hit up a couple of places that are part of the must do Disney experience. We are staying Club Level for the first time and hope to do a lot of eating there but still want a few eating experiences outside of the lounge that would make the trip extra special. Please share your Must Do’s!!!!

ETA - no plans to go to DS so either in parks or resorts please!!
As far as CL goes you’ll really get you money’s worth with 3 boys of that age.

For my traveling kiddos, the fav eateries are at DS so limited list.

MK- Casey’s Hotdogs
Tortuga Inn for the turkey legs (do they still have them?)

AK- Flametree BBQ, Satuli Canteen

Epcot- VN, any of the Japanese eateries; they love sushi. Same for the French restaurants, they luv em.

They never say no to Hoop de Do

If I wanted the boys to have their own car at Sci-fi do I need to make a reservation for 3 and 2 separately? I’m not familiar with the seating set up there…
They can either sit up front or in the back, we always get the burger, onion rings & they have the best shakes👏👏

My picks would be:
San Angel Inn- we’ve always had good food there, and the atmosphere can’t be beat.
Sci-Fi
Boma
Satuli Canteen
Via Napoli
Space 220

I have three boys (later teens to early 20s now) who are WDW vets. Some of their recent favorites that aren’t in DS (their absolute faves are in DS, for sure): Boma (breakfast and dinner), Yak n Yeti, ‘Ohana (both breakfast and dinner), HDDR, Spice Road Table, Topolino’s breakfast, Beaches and Cream, Jungle Skipper Canteen, Liberty Tree Tavern, Steakhouse 71 lunch.
