We are looking to make ADR's for our June trip. This time we are not on the dining plan because we want a little more freedom for snacks, sharing counter service meals and time. However, we do still want to have a few table service meals, but nothing too expensive (like California Grill or Le Cellier). We like Boma and Ohana, but are looking for something a little different. What are your favorites?

We are also not on the dining plan but want to try out some of those great TS restaurants. We are doing Le Cellier and Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch...that way we get the experience at a fraction of the cost. We are also doing CP breakfast, Ohana dinner and F! pkg at Mama Melrose...looking forward to it!

2 of our favorites are Crystal Palace and Whispering Canyon Cafe.

I don't have any specific restaurants but I do want to suggest that you look at lunch as a slightly cheaper option. In some cases you could eat as late as 3pm and make it an early dinner and save some money. You may need a snack later on but it will beat the dinner prices:)

We were looking at 50's Prime Time Cafe lunch, Sci-Fi Dine In lunch, Liberty Tree Tavern lunch, The Plaza (at MK) (lunch and dinner are both the same menu), Crystal Palace breakfast,& Beaches and Cream.

I really enjoyed the Biergarten last trip!

I didn't think it was relatively inexpensive though. $26 for lunch and $35 for dinner, plus tip. We had the DDP so it didn't matter. I could almost eat at 50's PTC and the Plaza for $26. :)

ETA: You're right about the atmosphere though! It's one of the best-themed places we've been to! If it fits the OP's budget it's a great choice!

Definitely consider Crystal Palace. It's one of the most varied buffets - and oh! the have characters there too. :) Tusker House is also a very good value.
