Tons of shows are produced in Canada; film and tv are a huge part of the BC economy. And Toronto is a ubiquitous location substituted for New York and Chicago in many popular shows. Locally around Calgary, shows like Hell on Wheels, Fargo and Wynona Erp are filmed as well as many western/wilderness type movies like The Revenant, Brokeback Mountain, Legends of the Fall...I could go on and on.
