TOP 10 REASONS UNIVERSAL IS BETTER THAN DISNEY

10. Goofy & Pluto still not housebroken

9. Universal hamburgers noticeably less "mousey".

8. Overheard in Universal, "Yes, I am glad to see you and yes, that is a wand in my pocket."

7. 'Its a small world' won't be playing in your head for days after visiting.

6. More Rock less talk. (Hard Rock Only)

5. In a steel cage match, whose your money on? The Hulk or a rodent with big ears?

4. Goofy much more irritable after trip last year to get "tutored".

3. Constant border wars between countries in world showcase.

2. Magic Kingdom nothing....WE got Harry Potter!

My number one reason is

Universal fans don't try to make me feel bad for liking the Disney (almost) as much as Universal. Honestly, for every great thing about one I can find something I like about the other. Its like trying to pick a favorite child. By the way my daughter is my favorite( although to be fair she is my only child)

This is our 1st big trip to visit both & I am equally excited!!!!!

I don't quite understand the need to choose a side???

Maybe I'll "get it" more after visiting each.

I have found more negative attitudes toward Universal from Disney lovers than the other way around.

Some of your reasons are really funny.

My #1... because the fastest ride at Disney is the car ride up there! :rimshot:

my #1 .... Express Pass (for onsite stays) Is 100 times better than fastpass... IMO ! You can on rides over and over with no "come back" later to ride rules.:cool1:

Originally I was 'on the fence' as to if I should post this or not. I want to go on the record as saying that I love Disney (although I DO prefer Universal).

I just thought it would funny but at the risk of possibly offending some readers. Maybe I should have started the post with some type of disclaimer.

I might start to compose a 'Disney better than Universal' post, just for equal time.

For those that liked it, I hope it put a smile on your face.
For those that were offended, 'sorry'....here's a little peace & love...:hippie:

You should post this on the Disney Theme park board... it'll go up to 50 pages fast and then get closed.

My number 1 reason is a shallow one... WWOHP.

1. FJ
2. The Mummy
3. Spiderman

Those 3 rides right there are better than any ride Disney has.

Funny post - but seriously Universal APs are what Disney can't touch. For such an affordable price I can get valet, daily Express Pass after 4pm, stacks of discounts, and loads more! Yes, it is 2 parks vs. 4 parks, but my pass really is VIP! You can't buy that at Disney! :cool1:

I got what you were trying to do, I thought it was funny. Some people won't get it though. I'll post my #1 when I think up a good one.

You got that right. :thumbsup2

#1 even during the height of summer i could do wwohp all main attractions at IOA and US.

which was great so i do not have to go back there for another 10 years

I am doing both for the first time Dec 5 - 17. I chose to stay close to Universal because it had more adult and nightlife activities. :drinking: :music:

Love them both for Different reasons. Yeah, Disney fans are different. Some like a cult. I enjoy anyone talking passionately about what they love. Freedom and goodwill and all that. I think the rides are better for longer at Universal cause, we all grow up. But, Disney is still ICONIC! I'll probably go there when I'm old, cause I can still ride the rides and enjoy the theming and the fab. restaurants and Christmas and Parades. I could grow too old for US and their fans will be glad I'm not in their way. HAHAH, like I feel now. Right?

Ooooh, I love them both.

But overall, I think the dining is much better at USO. The bartenders and bars everywhere at USO (including its onsite hotels) are a much better fit for DH and I than anything we've found at WDW (including its onsite hotels). Jeez, the bartenders at Finnegans -- Jim and Dan in particular -- are like family. We have their photos on our tv. Even the bar manager says you can't get a job there until a bartender dies. It must be a wonderful place to work.

Like a PP mentioned, the benefits of the AP really outweigh any benefits of the AP at WDW. We have the medium pass, the Preferred, and I'm always astonished at how quickly it pays for itself within just a couple days.

USO also feels more accessible to me while I'm in O-Town. Disney is just so spread apart. It's exhausting. We like to stay offsite and enjoy all of Orlando, and USO seems "easy" for a dinner at HRH, RPR or shopping/dining/nightlife at Citywalk.

Those are the things I prefer about USO over WDW. But there are things that I think WDW excels in over USO.

I also got what you intended. It was cute. Sometimes I think people get a little to touchy (on both sides).

Nothing wrong in poking a little fun. ;)
