Top 10 Most Disliked Sports Figures

I heard about this survey on the radio this morning. The list, including the percentage of people who picked that person as their top choice, is this:

1. Michael Vick – 69%
2. Al Davis – 66%
3. Ben Roethlisberger – 57%
4. Tiger Woods – 53%
4. Jerry Jones – 53%
6. Mark McGwire – 48%
7. Terrell Owens – 47%
8. Alex Rodriguez – 45%
8. Allen Iverson – 45%
10. Gilbert Arenas – 44%

I'm somewhat surprised that Tiger didn't get the No. 1 spot. He'd have been my choice. DH would pick Derek Jeter (who didn't make this list) as #1 and A-Rod as #2. He hates the Yankees!

This must have been a list voted on in the US only since Christiano Ronaldo would be on it if you ask most of the world outside of the US or Portugal. Same goes for John Terry except just about anyone who knew of him would put him on the list, even most Chelsea fans.

Oh, I'm glad Michael Vick is #1, POS that he is. Other than that, I don't know who more than half of those people are!

Yes, DH is a Mets and Jets fan. DS and I are Mets fans too, but we are diehard Giants fans. Football season gets very interesting in my house.

I was wondering if there were any disliked female sports stars. I couldn't think of anyone, but yes, Tony Harding is a candidate for this list although I associate her with the 1990s.

I don't understand how a guy who admitted to killing dogs, served time, and came out the other end a better person is #1, while another guy who has gotten away with rape at least twice is #3.

And for that matter, where are Dante' Stallworth or Ray Lewis? Stallworth killed someone by driving drunk, and Ray Lewis was involved in a murder, but wasn't convicted. Or Lawrence Taylor, currently indicted for raping an underage girl. Or Kobe Bryant.

I too am glad that Michael Vick is #1. I'm sorry, as a Christian, I know I'm supposed to forgive........but I have a real hard time forgiving anybody who would brutally kill animals. And people who profess to having learned a lesson or changes are just usually doing it for better PR.

I really think that he should have received a lot worse of a sentence and NEVER been allowed to play again. Flipping burgers at McDonald's is too good of a job for him.
