What are the top 10 things I should make sure i do with her during our 5 day stay. Fortunately I alreasy have PS for Cindy breakfast.

Thanks

She just turned 5 during our last trip.

Peter Pan
Carousel
Spaceship Earth (a little dark, but she grew to love it)
Parades (any and all)
Alladdin's Magic Carpet Ride
Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground (MGM)
Triceritop Spin (like dumbo but w/ extra stuff) (AK)
Mickey and Minnie's Houses in Toontown
Goofy's Barnstormer
Food Rocks (Epcot - Land)
It's a Small World

...here are a few I'll add...

the lights in the pavement outside of the Innoventions building, the Living Statues in France (Epcot World Showcase), Beauty and the Beast Show, swimming at the hotel pool ;)

We just got back in Oct and my 5 year old's list looked something like this:

10. Buzz Lightyear
09. Its A Small World
08. Peter Pan
07. Aladdin's Magic Carpet
06. Speedway Cars
05. Any Character Greeting
04. Spaceship Earth
03. It's Tough to be a Bug
02. Tea Cups
01. Winnie the Pooh

My son's favorites when he was both 3 and 5 -- Ice Station Cool at Epcot!

My 5 year old's list was a little different....

10. ToT
9. Dinosaur!
8. any parade
7. Cinderella's show in front of the castle
6. any and all character spot
5. Epcot Princess breakfast
4. Speedway
3. Haunted Mansion
2. Splash Mountain
1. BTMRR

We did 3 char breakfasts since it rained so much... Loved them all, but the epcot one was good as Mulan was there. Don't forget the Pocohantas show and the Festival of the Lion King at AK. We were there for 9 days, and went through 2(!) autograph books and 9 rolls of pictures of dd with a character.

GREAT souvinier for the 5 year old set... they sell Disney Princess coloring books for $3.99. I bought a bunch and am almost out of them! Great gifts, as they are bettter quality than the norm.

My DD is now 13, but I do remember going with her at almost 5, and she loved everything in Fantasyland except Snow White's Scary Adventures. That freaked her out.

Another tip, try really hard to see an early evening parade. We did the 11:00 parade and she was falling asleep on the curb on Main Street. Her hair got all stuck in her Minnie lollipop when she nodded off. ;)

Definitly try a water park. We love Typhoon Lagoon and I have read great posts about Blizzard Beach.

Anything in Fantasyland is great for a 5 year old. The only exception would be Snow whites Scary Adventure. This one is touchy. It scared my 4yr old dd but my 6yr old ds was ok.

Peter Pan is a must do.

My dd and ds love Haunted Mansion. That ride will depend on your child. It is so much fun but it is a dark ride.
I hope you and your dd have a magical vacation!

It really depends on how much of a daredevil she is!

Our DD1 turned 5 back in April and the mountains are her absolute favorite!!! We were able to ride Space Mtn twice, back to back (a nice CM led us around the back way to get to from the end back to the front of the line because it was DS bday) and she was begging for more!!! And that was the first time she was tall enough to ride it....we had tried when she was 4. Oh how the tears flowed that day.

Her nickname always has been Dangergirl.....

As far as attractions go, only 10??

Our 5 year old also got to ride Space Mtn for the first time this past December. In February, when he was too short he asked us if he could be alone because he wanted to cry by himself.

1. Now, Space Mtn
2. Thunder Mtn
3. Splash Mtn
4. Tower of Terror
5. Test Track
6. Dinosaur
7. Buzz
8. Star Tours
9. Speedway
10. Kali Rapids (he has only ridden this 2 times, once with Mom
and once with Dad who refuse to ride it again because we
do not wish to get soaked to the skin, again (that is what he
enjoys about it).

My five year old son really got brave on our last trip, he started out riding Buzz over and over but ended the week riding the Mountains and Test Track as much as possible. I just quizzed him on his faves and we couldn't narrow it down to less than 15:

1. pin trading ("put that at the VERY top mommy")
2. Test Track
3. Barnstormer (his first time to enjoy a coaster, rode this 8 times in a row, after that he was ready for mountains)
4. Star Tours (he liked this at 4 also)
5. Thunder Mt.
6. Speedway
7. Space Mt. (while we were at the park, he said this was his favorite ride, it has slid in his memory)
8. Buzz Lightyear ride (it wins ride most riden though)
9. Blizzard Beach
10. Indy Stunt Show
11. Pirates
12. Muppets 3-D show
13. Meet/greet characters like Buzz and Woody and getting their autographs
14. Fantasmic
15. parades (we watched every single one)

Also on his list are the Magic carpets, Ellen's Adventure, the light up sidewalk at Epcot, the Little Mermaid show (we stood for a 1/2 hour in line to meet Ariel at the MK on our very first day because DS couldn't wait to meet her!)

Heidi
14.

I didn't see Voyage of the Little Mermaid on the lists. Both my kids loved that when they were younger.

Here are my 5 year old little boy's top 10 things in Disney World.

1. Meeting and getting autographs from characters
2. Fantasmic
3. Splash Moutain
4. Eating breakfast at Chef Mickey's
5. Buying toys in the different shops
6. Watching any of the parades
7. Goofy's Barnstormer
8. Dumbo
9. Buzz Lightyear Space Ranging Spin
10. Buying and trading pins

Have fun!

Here is DS's top ten list. DS who is 4 would add Peter Pan, Aladin's Magic Carpets, Tower of Terror, The Pirate Cruise and the Neverland Club. Although we didn't discuss the hotel pools, that's always a top priority on our trips.

1. Fantasmic!
2. Honey I Shrink the Kids Playground
3. Star Tours
4. Buzz Lightyear
5. Spaceship Earth
6. Tomorrowland Speedway
7. Test Track
8. Dumbo
9. Kali River
10. Teacups

Lori

Well, it would help to know how tall she is, because some 5 year olds are tall enough to ride the rides that require a 40" limit, and that could alter the list.

For the below 40" child:
Peter Pan
Haunted Mansion
Goofy's Barnstormer
Buzz Lightyear
Jungle Cruise
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Dumbo
Pirates of the Carribean
Cinderella's Golden Carousel
Small World

For the over 40" child:
Peter Pan
Haunted Mansion
Buzz Lightyear
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Jungle Cruise
Pirates of the Caribbean
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Dumbo
Goofy's Barnstormer

Of course, this is limited to the Magic Kingdom only.

If you add the other parks, and the child is over 40", it gets more difficult, and I have left out things like Fantasmic and Illuminations, because they are easy to tack onto the end of a day.

Under 40" all parks:
Buzz Lightyear
Peter Pan
Haunted Mansion
Dumbo
Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Journey To Your Imagination
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Playground
Playhouse Disney
Festival of the Lion King
Boneyard

Over 40" and somewhat of a daredevil
Buzz Lightyear
Peter Pan
Haunted Mansion
Big Thunder
Splash Mountain
Journey to Your Imagination
Test Track
Dinosaur
Kilomanjaro Safaris
Festival of the Lion King
Tower of Terror

OK, I know that is more than 10, but you can't just expect to see and do only 10 rides and attractions in ALL of WDW!

My DD (will be 5 in Feb) top 10 list:
1. BTMRR
2. Barnstormer
3. Splash Mtn
4. Star Tours
5. Spaceship Earth
6. Test Track
7. Monorail (in front, of course)
8. Resort Pool
9. Any Kids Club
10. Minnie's House
