We plan to eat dinner in the parks or Citywalk every night during our December vacation. I know for sure we will eat at Toothsome and Mythos. We chose those two because we do not have anything like them in our hometown and the theme looks fun. We ate at Cowfish last time we were at UO and, while we enjoyed it, we want to eat somewhere new plus we now have a Cowfish in the city where we live. We do not like Margaritaville so that's out too. We will have a car but we do NOT want to drive to dinner. We did that a couple of times in February and have no plans to do it again. We want to walk or take a water taxi everywhere we go. I have looked at menus but I am still interested in people's opinions. We are fairly adventurous eaters in that we like many different types of cuisines but we do have one vegetarian in our party, one who doesn't eat beef or pork but will eat seafood and a little chicken, and two who love meat. We are a party of 3 adults (me, husband, and our oldest daughter) and one child, age 10.

Which restaurants would you choose for us and why?

Thanks!

I like Finnegans inside Universal. They have a fun Irish pub theme and food to match including seafood, chicken and meat dishes. They also have a black bean burger and soups and salads for your vegetarian. They don't have a big selection but they have something for everyone in your group.

Finnegan's, Bubba Gumps, NBC Grille and both Potter restaurants are good and should have enough variety to satisfy your group. You also might like some of the onsite hotel places.

We loved Vivo's...if your group enjoys Italian food. On days when we were exhausted or it rained in the evening, we visited our hotel's restaurants. We stayed at RP, so Jake's and Island's...but I have heard a lot of good reviews for the other hotels restaurants as well.

NBC and Cowfish at Citywalk are two of the best for choice. NBC in particular has plenty of choices and food is better than Cowfish.

Jakes, Islands and Tchoup Chop are all exceptional.

Sal's at Portofino Bay and The Palm at HRH are excellent.

We were really impressed with Jake's. I'm not a big fan of what I consider to be "ordinary" hotel restaurants because I'm a huge fan of themed places, but Jake's food was so good.

If you haven't visited PB, it's worth a visit. We stayed club level so didn't eat dinner at the restaurants, but the them in here is beautiful. Worth coming for a visit.

Can't argue with anyone this ... all good stuff. I do personally like the menu at Cowfish ahead of that at NBC but they are both solid options.

My standard recommendation list is Cowfish, NBC Grill, Jakes, Tchoup Chop, The Palm and Toothsome. I usually throw in Mamma Della's, Jimmy Buffet's and Bubba Gump too. Those aren't really on my own hit list but nobody ever complains if I send them to those restaurants. They deliver what they advertise.

We ate at the Mexican food place in city walk (has a VW bus out front)and was really good. I am half mexican and pretty picky with mexican food and I thoroughly enjoyed the food, chips, the guacamole cart, and the margaritas. Great servixe as well and awesome mariachi band, playing classics and modern hits. Would definitely eat there again.

Toothsome was awesome and if we had more time, i would've tried them twice! The food was yummy and the portion was huge! We tried a sample of their chocolate stout (can't remember the actual name) and it was GOOD! :)

Good options already mentioned. I'll add that if you are in City Walk and want a quick brick oven pizza, Red Oven is usually pretty good.

Antojitos (I believe that's the name of the mexican place) was really good when we ate there adn not too badly priced either
