what can I buy to make it feel better, it is my back tooth, the one right before I had wisdom teeth, I am going in January to have it filled but today is is killing me?

Tooth pain is really miserable, I'm sorry you are hurting.

Do you have a small bump on the gum above or below the tooth? check both the inside and outside. This is a sign that the tooth has absessed and you need antibiotics. A call to your Dentist with this information will get you a prescription.

I hope you feel better soon, maybe some Advil will help.

Upper right molar toothache checking in here too! My relief comes from three Motrin and cleaning the area with Listerine. Yeah, it sends me through the roof at first, but then it feels lots better.

If you have any cloves or oil of clove, it works like a charm Just rub it on the gum.

No suggestions, just sympathy. I think a toothache is one of the worst things!!! Can you get to the dentist sooner than January?

Anbesol...I have a tooth (upper right) causing problems and I occasionally use anbesol when it hurts, and it helps a LOT...numbs it right up for several hours. You should try it. I put a little on a q-tip and just rub it on the gum around the tooth (front and back)...it really does the trick.

It isn't aching today until I eat and forget and chew on my right side. I know it is a cavity and as much as I hate novicanes I cant wait till I have it done. Thanks for all your help, I still rather have a tooth ache then get dentures. LOL

Gail my DH has the same pain. He has ruptured discs in his back 4 times, and took 2 doses of pain med. You should see him taking a vicodin ES twice a day...he is in a lot of pain. I hope they can figure out what is going on...they saw him Thursday, but could find nothing wrong. {{{Hugs}}}.

You can take 4 Advil at a time, 3 times a day. Make sure you eat with them, and if you have a sensitive stomach take 2 Zantac twice a day. Those are prescription strength dosages.
