Tooth Tunes toothbrush -anyone bought it?

My DD got a Tooth Tunes toothbrush from the Easter Bunny. It didn't work, almost like it had a short in it. Took it back, got her another one, this one doesn't work either. No sound no matter what we do.

I called Hasbro this morning and they are going to ship me a return label and send her a new one, but this is frustrating.

Last night she was having a meltdown over a stupid toothbrush - has anyone else had issues?

BTW: We realize that steady even pressure must be applied to get the music to play and that too much or not enough pressure effects it. No matter what we do, this replacement will not make a sound.

We bought 3 for my DD and my 2 DN's and they work fine. Sounds like you area had a bad bunch.

My dd also got one from the easter bunny and we haven't had a problem yet. And just so you know she i brushing her teeth more and longer, and better.

My DD has one and it works okay. It took me a while to figure out how it worked, and I thought hers was broken too. She'd thrown away the instructions.

All three of my boys have them and they are still working fine (got them about 1 and 1/2 months ago). What a headache for you. But ours are just fine!

I told DS that for $10 he could download 10 songs from iTunes and he could listen to them on his iPod while brushing his teeth -- same thing, better variety.

My dd asked for one, but I haven't gotten it for her yet. Never thought I'd see the day where a kid would ask for a toothbrush.

DD loves hers. Between that and the Listerine Agent Cool Blue, her teeth have been looking great!

DS4 bought one with his own money (money he got from Pop-Pop) and it works with no problem.

He loves the music, but I still can't get him to brush (grrrr). He says he doesn't like the taste of the toothpaste, that it's too "spicey" (aka minty). Don't know about that since I bought him a strawberry and a bubblebum flavored toothpastes made for kids .

Lemon toothpaste? Now that is one flavor I have never seen or heard before. DS loves strawberry, so I figured that he would like the taste of it in a toothpaste. No such luck.

I let him buy the toothtunes brush and the dentist even said if it gets him to brush then he thinks it was a great idea.

It is made by Crest. It is called Lemon Ice. Kind of tastes like lemon pie filling. I use it too.

DS got one from the Easter Bunny as well....I guess he just figured all kids would love them! LOL

My kids have had theirs for a couple of months now & they are no longer playing the music as long as they used to. They are cute, but they didn't seem to last very long.

it took us a while to realize there isn't much sound when they are outside their mouth but when they have it in their mouth they hear it really loud (I thought only Gilligan got radio waves in his fillings)

Sounds like our local Toys R Us must have gotten a bad batch. Hopefully the one that will come directly from Hasbro will work - toothbrush drama is not something I need to add to my Drama Queens daily itinerary!

I've been wondering for a while - do these things play the actual song sung by the singer, or do they play simulated music only?

My DD7 got one from the Easter Bunny too!! Who would have thought that the toothbrush would go over better than candy in an Easter basket!! Now I can't get her to STOP brushing her teeth! I never thought I would see the day I don't have to remind her to brush! Now when she is home, she brushes after every meal!! She will only use the watermelon flavored toothpaste....

It is a 2 minute (?) clip of the actual song by the actual artist. DD got "We Will Rock You" since she has been singing that song alot because it was played during her hockey games.
