My DS 5 has his first loose tooth. He is excited and nervous.
I was just curious as to what amount the tooth fairy leaves at your house. I remember getting a quarter, but a friend of mine said the tooth fairy left $20 for her kid!!!
Maybe I should start pulling some teeth :rotfl:

The tooth fairy leaves a dollar around here.

Hopefully your tooth fairy won't forget and fall asleep, and then the tooth fairy has to sneak into the room and hide the dollar on the floor or under a toy or something - "Hey Look! There it is! It must have fallen down!" :thumbsup2

When my DD was little and lost teeth, I would usually give her either a couple of dollars or maybe a Spinbrush or a DVD or something like that. Never $20, though!! (the DVDs or Spinbrush or light up toothbrush's would have usually been in my "stash" and previously purchased on sale or clearance)

Our kids have never done the tooth fairy thing. They just give me the tooth and we go get a small gift. My oldest son always wanted a hot wheel, my daughter gets littlest pet shop ( the singel pets that are only $3) and my youngest son got a monster truck for his first tooth because it was pulled by the dentist and for the rest he picks out little cheap toys.

Tooth fairy leaves $5 for the first and then $2 for the rest. Sometimes a little toy or something, a new toothbrush, smencil you know stuff the tooth fairy found....because the Easter bunny and Santa forgot where they hid them.

Ha, the "tooth fairy" just made an appearance here before I logged in. DD is almost 10 (yes, she still believes, but it won't last much longer) and she got $5 this time. She had to have 2 pulled at the dentist office today. Usually we do $1 per tooth, unless there are extenuating circumstances. She had 3 pulled a couple of weeks ago, one was abscessed, and the darn gums just wouldn't stop bleeding. It took hours before they finally stopped. She was miserable so the tooth fairy left her $10 that time. That is a very rare occurrence though.

As I was logging on DD6 just ran down all excited she has lost her 3rd tooth.

Tooth fairy generally leaves $1 but has been known to leave extra change if the tooth looks very well taken care of, like extra brushing, or drinking extra milk.:lovestruc I love the tooth fairy.

Holy Lordie! $20!!!! Wow, tooth fairy must have played the lottery and won big time since I was little :lmao:
We always got $1 and we were always excited about it :)

We gave $20 for the first tooth and then it goes down from there. LOL we average $3-5 depending on the tooth.

We do the gold dollar coins, so they were like gold and something different. The hard part is remembering to have a supply from the bank.

We did $6 for the first-cuz Ds was 6 and $1 for the rest. We dod know a tooth fairy in another zipcode who leaves ds games.

Our tooth fairy does however leave a fairy dust trail all over showing the great party she had.

I had a great find for my stash bin the other day, Target had on clearance 2 packs of webkinz (a large basic animal and matching lil'kinz) for $4.99! Got the cocker spaniel and the polar bear sets. I think the bear is officially the first Christmas gift I bought. LOL

DD still hasn't lost her first tooth, but I definitely plan on a little more for the first tooth (I am thinking $10) and less after. I have a bunch of old Disney gift cards in my travel folder, might give one for first tooth or was planning to pick up some Disney dollars in Sept. Any money she gets, she automatically puts in her Disney jar anyways! I think only once she took money and spent it on something else!

the tooth fairy leaves the $1 Sacagewea(sp?) coins. One time she left a $10 when DD had to have 4 teeth pulled for braces!

Our tooth fairy is Tinkerbell, so she leaves a 1.00 Loonie, and Disney stickers.

First tooth got 5.00, Tiger :)

For our DD now 6, she got $5 for the 1st tooth, and then $1 coin since then. However, when she lost her 2nd front tooth on Christmas eve this year, the tooth fairy left her a special $15 target gift card (mostly because all my relatives were telling her at our family Christmas eve gathering that she'd get something wonderful that night).
