I voted $1 but they get $5 for the first tooth and $5 for the last tooth. Tooth fairy keeps all the teeth.

When the tooth fairy comes she brings one dollar coin (a different one every time) and a hand full of change. The dollar coin is not spent, it is a special coin only brought by the tooth fairy.

Our tooth fairy leaves $2 bill. Hard to find sometimes but everytime I go to the bank I asked if they have any if so I get whatever they have to stock up on them. Our son has a sterling tooth fairy box and that's where we put the money. ONLY the tooth fairy can bring a $2 bill.

At our house, you get $20 for the first tooth ('cause you were brave!) then $5 for every tooth after that. Tooth Fairy has all the teeth. Of course, this was several years back since DS is 19 and DD is 18!

When my daughter still believed in the Tooth Fairy, I would usually get her a gift --- a DVD or a special tooth brush (like Tooth Tunes) and a couple of dollars.

She stopped believing a few years ago but it does save me money

Don't extracted teeth get more??? I work at a dental office and sometimes we extract baby teeth, the kids always get the tooth in a little treasure chest to give to the tooth fairy. A lot of them have asked if she leaves more and I think she does!

My DD just lost her 2nd tooth last week and got $5 because the Tooth Fairy wasn't sure of the going rate. She did get $20 for her 1st because the other tooth was coming in behind it and the tooth fairy thought that was cheaper than a dental bill!! Also it was the day after her 5th b-day. She is saving all her tooth $ for our trip to WDW.

A littlest Pet Shop animal. Money means nothing to my 6 year old (who's already lost 8 teeth!! ), so she gets a little gift instead. Here's hoping for a little break before she loses any more!
