Before we left on our 6/1 trip, my daughter asked if the tooth fairy would visit her if she lost a tooth while we were on the Magic! She decided that it must be Tinkerbell who does the tooth fairies job while at sea. Well, on the third day she lost one of her bottom teeth and insisted that she needed to put the tooth under her pillow for Tink to pick up!

My husband went to the gift shop that evening and picked up a Tinkerbell pin and we wrote a note on the Disney stationary from
Tinkerbell and we found glitter in something she had made in the lab and sprinkled that on her pillow!

Needless to say, she woke up and was thrilled! She kept saying that nobody ever gets Tink's autograph! It was so much fun!

Maybe DCL needs to come up with a special "Tink the Tooth Fairy" pin for those occasions that the little ones lose their teeth while at sea!

Hope this helps you future cruisers with a fun idea if your child loses a tooth while at sea!

:)

Cute idea! My daughter lost a tooth on a cruise once too, the Tooth Fairy brought Disney Dollars. :D

My daughter also lost her tooth at Disney World (Disney Dollars) on the ship (Disney Dollars).

She also lost a tooth on the plane on the flight back from WDW!!! We secretlyasked the stewardess for one of those plane "wing" pins and put that under her pillow with cash!!!

She was really surprised!!

this is a really cute idea, and will be a tooth lost that will always bring back special memories.

::::Feeling very sheepish:::::
The last tooth my DD lost and put under her pillow stayed there for four days....I kept forgetting...finally she said, "I guess the tooth fairy quit."
That night she was greatly rewarded for her patience with the Tooth Fairy's complicated and time consuming schedule.....I mean, it's not like she has magic reindeer to get her all over the world!!

My son was getting Disney Dollars for his teeth too. But the last one he kept insisting I was the tooth fairy. He was in bed for well over an hour, I was totally convinced he was asleep. When I tried to do the trade under the pillow, he pulled up and yelled "Gotcha". Little booger.
:( :( :( :( :(

The tooth fairy visited my 10 yr old grand-daughter on the wonder and left her a silver anklet and toe ring!

My 6yo son can't WAIT to lose his teeth and he has several that are just starting to loosen up.... I sure hope that he loses one on our 7/27 cruise! I've always left notes for my 11yo dd (who's trying to convince herself the tooth fairy is really mom, but I actually "talked" to the tooth fairy - a neighbor who was crinkling tissue paper over the receiver to make it sound like she was far away - when I was about 6. I sign "Tooth Fairy" to her notes and make the "o's" look like teeth. I want my kids to have magic while they're little. The birthday fairy also visits them on their birthday and they wake up to a decorated bedroom with balloons and crepe paper everywhere! That birthday fairy hasn't visited ME, though.... LOL

I got lots of replies from many about what to do...neat ideas. Unfortunately, I never got to use any of them. We were at the parks for 4 days prior to our cruise. DD6 had TWO loose teeth that I was sure would come out one place or the other. Our last day in the parks..at Epcot...a little girl ran into dd6's mouth with her head! The least loose tooth bled a lot, but didn't come out. A cm who saw the blood told us to take the tooth to guest services if it did come out while at the park. That still wouldn't convince dd6 to pull it out.
On to the cruise. Our third night on the cruise, eating dinner in PC, the kids plates had corn on the cob on them. DD6 loves corn on the cob. I made a passing remark to her about there being corn and that perhaps her teeth would now come out. Our head server, Ibrahim, overheard me and went into the kitchen and came out with THREE ears of corn for her! She scraped off the corn with her bottom teeth!
Finally, we got home and the following week, dd6 had a dental cleaning app't. I told her she'd got to the appt with teeth in her mouth and come home with them in her pocket. Well, only one came out...and the hygenist tried to get the other one, but it wasn't ready. She did write a note to the tooth fairy that said that the tooth had come out during a cleaning so it got the "super duper" treatment.
Now I was in a bind! I quickly found a sitter for my 2 kids who were not in school and ran to the Disney store..thinking a small plush or something. I ended up gettting a pair of Cinderella pajamas...the note from the tooth fairy said that she had told Cindy's fairy Godmother (her good friend) about dd6's tooth and she had sent these pajamas...to go along with the Sacaguwea Dollar that the toothfairy always brings. DD6 was thrilled! She loves the pajamas! (and she's not a big fan of Cinderella's--she's too much of a tomboy for that princess stuff!)

She lost the next one a few days later, but only got the gold dollar. I'll bet she's wishing she pulled it out on the cruise now!

Ok, sorry I went on, but I just wanted to tell my toothfairy story.;)

My DD, 7 has only lost her two bottom teeth. Her "mimi" found this adorable pillow that hangs on the door, no Gotcha's!!!

I hope she is still losing teeth by our next cruise, you all have given me some great ideas!:D
