Toontown characters during Parades?

Does anyone know: Are all the characters still out in Toontown (Fairies, Princesses, Mickey, etc) during the parades, or do some of them have to go "in" because they are in the parade?
Seems like this may be a good time to have shorter lines, but not if you have to wait to the end of the parade for them to re-appear anyway.
Any experience with this? Thanks

Last year during MVMCP, we were visiting the Fairies in Toontown during the first parade, and I believe the princesses were there also. It was actually a great time to go, we only waited something like half an hour, while people had been reporting waiting for two hours or more (it was not too long after they first started having visits with the Fairies).

Thanks! That's what I was hoping to do during MNSSHP on 11/1 - go to Toontown during the first parade for Fairies, Princesses, Mickey & Minnie & see the second parade later on.

According to Disney, as there is only one Mickey Mouse, he can only be in one place at any given time. However, they add, he can move really fast. Like from Toontown to a parade, or vice-versa (or mice-versa?). So i believe the characters are still available during the parades.

I would think they (disney) could pull this off. If you are watching the parade you have no idea if Mickey and Minnie are hanging out back at the palace and (mice-versa):thumbsup2. We have taken advantage of this during the 1st parade and always watch the 2nd. Especially during MNSSHP. We always watch from frontierland right across from LTT.

:rotfl: Yes! This was exactly the spirit of my question! And this is the exact answer I will give my DGD (6) in case she asks why Mickey was at home during the first parade.

I was told by a CM that if the character is in the parade, they are not available for meet and greet in the same park.

We went to Toontown during the Spectro parade earlier this month. We waited 5 minutes for the fairies and one family for Mickey and Minnie. There was about a 5 minute wait for the princesses, too. We also saw Ariel in her grotto with no wait. The CM at Ariel was so excited to clear her line, she called over another CM to prove no wait for Ariel!
We even had time to ride Dumbo, Peter Pan and IASW before getting a spot for fireworks.

We just got back last week from WDW. Arrived on Saturday and went to visit the Fairies during the evening parade. Had about a 20 minute to see them.

We had to explain to my daughter that Mickey had his very own, super fast monorail last trip because we had just eaten with him at O'Hana and then took the monorail to MK and a little boy got on at the Contemporary saying that he had just eaten with Mickey, too!! My daughter's eyes got huge and asked "how?" so with some very quick Mom thinking I came up with the "Private Monorail" story and it seemed to work for everyone!

As for the OP's question, we have always been able to do the Meet&Greets at ToonTown during the Parade and never had a problem, quite the opposite actually because the lines were often non-existant.

See? With a little pixie dust and a warp-speed monorail, anything is possible! :thumbsup2

...I sure would love my own private monorail when waiting in line for a bus!
