i love to do all the kiddie stuff at Disneyland. For a ling time now I have been wanting to do the character breakfast, the Discover the Magic Tour, Goofy's kitchen etc., but since I am 24 & have no children i feel like i would stand out liek a sore thumb. has anyone done it or other children oriented thigs @ Disney? How was your experience? It would just be me & my fiancee. so... I don't know... any advice?

There was an adult couple on the Discover the Magic Tour when we did it. They did seem to enjoy themselves, although the CM's will direct most of their attention and the interaction at the children.

And yes, you should definitely do a character meal. The characters "should" spend just as much time with you as they do other tables.

You are not too old at all!! My husband and I used to go to Disneyland all the time before we had our kids. Our last trip pre-kids was when I was 24 and my husband was 32 and that was for our HONEYMOON!!! We did Character breakfast each time at the Plaza Inn. We LOVED ALL THE KIDDIE RIDES!!!!! We even took pictures with the characters in the park and at the character breakfast I never once felt out of place or wondered if people thougt we were silly. I think that is a part of the MAGIC of DISNEYLAND is all can come and enjoy no matter what age you are This is why WALT DISNEY created DISNEYLAND!!! Have FUN FUN FUN! I expect to see a picture of you posted up with a character from the character breakfast!!!!!!!!!!

DH and I are both in our 50s and we love doing character breakfasts.

Besides, at Disney, you're only as old as you feel. So remember to act your shoe size, not your age.

You're never too old! My husband and I would love to go to disneyland without our daughter. We talk about it all the time, but have never done it. I have been to goofy's kitchen many times-- you definately won't stick out like a sore thumb!!! Have fun!

There are lot's of adult groups at Goofy's kitchen , our last trip a group of them got more attention then families were and many were very upset about that! Go and have a great time , we are all kids at DL!

There is no such thing as too old at DL! I have had a pass since I was a teenager and never stopped doing all the fun kid stuff as an adult, even before kids! My husband and I love our alone trips when we sneak away for a night at the hotel (even though we live 15 mins away) and do Goofy's Kitchen and all the stuff we love to do with our daughter, but it's nice to spend some time by ourselves without temper tantrums and diaper changes

Even though we have kids, and their older (ages 19 & 10), we still do the character meals and both kids, even the grown one loves it as much as ever. We would still do them even if we didn't have kids. As far as the rides, we also love the kiddie rides. I loved them when I was young and then as I grew it was all about the adrenaline stuff and now that I am older it's getting to be all about the kiddie rides again LOL! The older I get, the more chicken I get so bring on the kiddie rides! Oh and another thought; I'm sure Walt would want you to feel every bit as comfortable in his park as any family with kids does!!!

I am 62 Y.O. so I am not quite sure what the concept of OLD is. There were many people without kids at the character meals. I may look out of place but I do not feel out of place.

My dh and myself are 50 and we do it all. The character meals are great for couples or adult singles just like they are for families. enjoy

EVERY year for my birthday, me and my friends go to Disneyland. We do character breakfasts, hit every ride even the kiddie rides, get toys, and even try to get our way into the jedi training academy....

We are all, in our 20s.

I'm 36 and love DL!!!!! I want to go for my b-day next year but it's blacked out for us AP's... My DBF and I are trying to figure out if we can go for NYE...yes, it's blacked out too but it might just be worth it for the $30 it will cost us to get in. LOL IMO You're NEVER too old for Disney!!!!

I agree with others -- go and have a good time and do the things you want to do! I'm sure their are lots of people who go to character meals who don't have kids -- I love the characters and although I have 3 little girls, I would probably want to get their autographs even if I didn't have kids!! LOL I, too, love the fantasyland Kiddie rides -- it reminds me of my childhood -- and I will always want to go on them (no matter how old my kids are )
It seems like people are so busy watching their own kids or having their own fun, no one will notice how old you are, etc. It is the best place to be a kid!!

Do we ever grow up? I hope not! You know how that song goes I dont want to grow up Im a DL kid. Go and have fun and dont worry about what others think. I hope that when I ride PP or TC or any ride that has all kids that people do look at my DH and myself, maybe they will remember why we are here. My DH and I will always be skipping down the yellow brick road.

You two sound exactly like my DF and myself - and I'm 23 and he's 28. We love to do all the kiddie things too - and we do them proudly ! All the rides, teacups are my favorite haha - except a few (like Dumbo ), and we're usually the odd looking people going on the ride in terms of party composition, but no one looks at us strangely for it. I think everyone understands it's all about the magic! We always do character meals, they're so fun! Oftentimes the characters get sidetracked by the little ones in other parties who cannot help but run to the characters - but they have come back to visit with us, and we get our attention, too!

Definitely enjoy being in Disney! You're not alone in the love!

Maybe that is why I take other peoples kids when I go!

I had sooo much fun taking my niece to DL and DCA! It was neat watching her face light up. When she saw the parade for the first time-wow!

Still can't believe my sister let me take her!! I know I wouldn't be able to let my child go (when I have one) with out me - especially the first visit!

PS-my first trip to WDW I took my cousins!

I must be weird, because I always feel really awkward when any character tried to interact with me. I guess because my brain knows it's just a sweaty teenager in a fuzzy costume. I think I'd feel really out of place at a character breakfast. Am I the only one who feels this way? People really seem to enjoy these character meals.
