I have 10 year old twins that are unfortunately very picky eaters (the other 3 kids eat anything, go figure)

I was looking at the Rose and Crown Menu and the age for children's meals is 3-9. My twins won't eat anything on the adult menu. Will they serve the twins Macaroni and cheese? Maybe even a bigger portion?

What about other WDW restaurants? Will they serve children's meals to older children? I don't want to sit down at the table and find out that there is nothing for them to eat.

at 10 I can't imagine you would have a problem. Many adults post that they always get the kids meals, so your 10 year olds should be ok. The worst that would happen is that you would have to pay for an adult portion of a kids meal, but that usually only happens on the dining plan.

My children (ages 15 & 11) have ordered off the children's menu many times if they don't see something on the adult menu that they like. I have even had a CM tell me that "at Disney everyone is a child so feel free to order from any menu." We do not do the dining plan, but from what I understand even if you order from a child's menu you will still be "charged" an adult credit so just understand that going in if you are on the DDP.

Enjoy your trip!

DS 10 and DD13 are both very picky and they were both able to order from the kid's menu without a problem. The only place that it does not work is at buffets - you will be charged adult prices, so we just don't do them anymore.

I think you can ask and they may do it.. Also, sometimes when mine are not that hungry, although they are not little anymore, they order an appetizer and leave it at that...maybe the appetizers are not what they would like though if they are children..

As my Grandmother used to say.......If they are hungry enough they will eat.

(No special meals, etc).

I am one of those adults who orders from the children's menu. I have never had a problem. Sometimes adult portions are just too much for me (also I'm kinda picky). Your twins will have no problems.....ENJOY!!! :goodvibes

I am very happy to hear that older children can order off the childrens menu. We're traveling with very pickey 9,11 and 13 year olds and i was a little worried about some of the places we have reservations.

We have the dining plan though so they will just get "charged" as regular right? As if they ordered an adult meal?

LOL, we had the opposite problem. My 9-year-old has a very mature palate and likes to try new and different things. He had no interest whatsoever in the children's menu, so we ended up paying OOP for him a couple of times so he could get adult meals. Next time we'll be on the Deluxe DDP and he'll be ten so he'll be in heaven eating anything he desires ;) .
