FP to meet Talking Mickey at 2:30 PM... heading to POR right after to check in, then plan to hop a boat to Disney Springs for a Raglan Road reservation at 5:00... too much? We could switch to Boatwrights but the reviews have me sticking with RR.

As long as you leave the park immediately after meeting Mickey, you should make it in time. It is cutting it close. How are you getting to POR? Waiting for a bus could add extra time--but if you are driving it should be much easier. At POR we would often have to wait for the boat for a bit---and if there is a line you might have to wait till the next boat.

I wanted to add that we have eaten at Boatwrights and enjoyed it. It isn't high energy like Ragland---but the food and service has been enjoyable.

I think we'll show up to Mickey a few minutes early to see if we can squeeze a few extra minutes in. We are getting to POR by car. We are actually driving in to town in the morning from 3 hours away. Do you think small kids would like Boatwrights?

Why not just check in at POR before you go to the park?

We are driving in from out of town (3 hours away) in the morning and would love to go straight to the parks instead of checking in first. I can check in online though.

I would do that. Check in online, go from MK to DS and then head over to POR when you are done at DS.

But then again, if you just want to park at POR and boat to DS, that's nice, too. Can you move your Raglan Road reservation a little later so you don't feel rushed?

Its doable since you are driving and don't have to wait for a bus at MK. Assuming you catch a boat or monorail quickly and don't have to wait long for a shuttle. You also need to catch a boat from POR with little wait. Any chance of moving your Raglan Road ADR to 5:30 or 6?
That would get rid of a lot of the time crunch.

We were able to change it to 5:45! Yay!

So, we will leave MK by 3, POR by 3:30 for checkin, and leave POR by 5:15 to be at dinner at 5:45. Sound about right?

I would allow a little more time to get to dinner. Disney asks that you check in 10 minutes early and while that is not a deal breaker, you might feel rushed if you get hung up in traffic

We are taking the POR boat to Disney Springs. I think it only takes about 15 minutes, but we probably should allow a few minutes more anyway.

The boat is slooooow. Allow about 45 minutes, including the wait. I would be at the boat dock by 4:45.

I think there are a couple of better options:
1. Drop the car off at POR in the morning and take the bus to MK, then take the bus from MK to DS (the bus starts running at 4:00,) and then take the boat to POR after your dinner.

2. Drive to MK in the morning, then drive to DS, then drive to POR.

Unless you really want to go to POR between MK and DS, it's an unnecessary step that's eating up a good chunk of your park time.

And I'm not sure if you realize this, but if you really want to check-in in person rather than online, you can do so as early as 6:00 am. You don't have to wait until 3:30.

We do want to to to POR between to meet up with some of our party, but we will think about these other options. Thank you!!!

I’m having a hard time believing it’s faster to take the boat/monorail to the Transportation Center, load onto a Tram to get closer to your car, then into a car to drive to POR. AM I missing something? How could all that be faster than just grabbing a bus? Especially at around 3 the bus line shouldn’t be too bad. On our Easter trip we had only one 20 minute bus wait in nine days— mostly 10 minutes or less. Granted we weren’t staying at POR — are the buses really that bad for POR?

In that case, I would drop the car off at POR in the morning (either leave the bags in the car or leave them with bell services) and take the bus to MK (it's quicker and easier than driving.) Then, when you're finished at MK, take the bus back to POR.

There is usually a line for the boat to Disney Springs in the afternoon. So you might not get the 1st boat you see. Can't remember where the boat stops at DS, and how far Raglan Road is. It was a few years ago.
