I'm working on our itinerary for our upcoming trip and one day seems awfully "full" of food! What do you think?

This is for our second day in the World:

8:30 am Storybook Princess Breakfast

no lunch/maybe a light snack like fruit or a pretzel

3:30 pm Ice Cream Social at Garden Grill

7:00 pm Teppanyaki Dining Room in Japan

Is this too much, or is it spaced out enough that we won't be loosening our belts too much? I figure we can have a hearty breakfast, a light snack, some ice cream with the characters and then the meal at Teppanyaki which (in my opinion) is rather light cause it's a meat with sauteed veggies and rice with no heavy sauces. So is it ok, or too much? I am just looking for opinions here, nothing more. Thank you!!!!!!!!

PS - our other days only have ONE priority seating. A couple of days don't have ANY, but we're keeping those days "free" to see what we feel like doing.

Thanks again!

Actually, I think that looks just fine. DH and I had a few days like that on our last trip to Disney. We had a 9:30 breakfast one day at Hollywood and Vine, we did a light snack at Starring Rolls Bakery at about 1:30 and we returned to MGM for dinner at the Brown Derby at 5:20. It was perfectly timed. I think yours is just the same. I'm assuming they serve nothing but ice cream at the social so that will help save your appetite for Teppanyaki....and you WILL need it...I should know, DH and I dined there for our anniversary lunch in 2001 and enjoyed it thoroughly. :teeth: :smooth:
You've done fine with your PS arrangements. ENJOY AND DINE TO YOUR HEART'S CONTENT!! :jester: :D

If I'm reading right then you will have a 1yo with you. While the food may not be too much, it may be to much for the little one. Not that any of these places don't welcome wee folk, but your child may have enough of restaurants by the time dinner rolls around. Even the ice cream social involves being contained at a table in the moving Garden Grill. Just a thought - hope it helps!:)

An added bonus - you'll have a great spot to watch Illuminations after you eat! There is a set of stairs near the Japanese Department store that leads to an elevated deck and you can see the fireworks above the crowds!

Harambe,

Thanks for the tip! I didn't even know about that.

It sounds like a nice day, but I have one piece of advice that was given to me by my travel agent, and it was a great one:

When traveling with small kids, if possible, try to head back to your hotel some time early-to-mid afternoon for a dip in the pool and perhaps a nap(for the baby, but you may need one too!). When my hubby and I went just this past October, our daughter was 3 1/2 years old, and by early afternoon she was pretty tired, even though she was in the stroller most of the time! We resisted trying this at first because we didn't want to lose any time in the parks, but the afternoons and evenings were better when we started taking that down-time midday.

Have a great time!!:D

Thanks for the tips! We already have planned in mid-day breaks for napping and swimming. When my DH and I would go alone we would take a break also. It really helps us deal with the heat. Plus I love the Disney pools and I like spending time at the resort as much as in the parks! So don't worry - we have our breaks planned for every day.
