Too many snack credits

We blew 10 leftover credits on the rice crispy mickey treats for little gifts for friends back home.

Not sure how they taste but they travel well.

Put it this way - if your friends don't want them you can send them this way. I'll even pay shipping!! :cloud9:

We have the opposite problem. Not enought snack credits:rolleyes1

Same here. My son and I love our snacks.:cool1:

ok--just WHAT is the school bread? I've seen many people mention it--what is it like?
Here's a picture of the schoolbread. I really wanted to like it. I took two bites and had to toss it. :sad2: My son wouldn't even eat it.

We were expecting a sweet dessert, something like a doughnut. It's a roll (something I'd used to make sandwiches) stuffed with cream (which is wonderful) and topped with coconut.:confused3

It looks good but it tastes awful. For the record, I feel the same way about dole whips.

Bless your soul for posting that picture. There is no way that I would like that, I can't stand raw coconut. However the good news is that there'll be one more piece of school bread for anyone who wants one the week after Easter (when I am there not eating it :) )

We are going to WDW for the first time :cool1: and are getting the Deluxe Dining Plan.

As a first timer how'd you decide on the Deluxe vs standard Dining Plan? Many vets seem to think its a better plan if you've been there done that with the parks vs first time visitors. Their advice is that dining will take away too much time from enjoying the parks.

Last year was my first on site visit and we had the DP, no Deluxe available. As I plan for 2008 I've gone back and forth std vs deluxe, mainly due to short trip (3 nights). At this point we'll keep the basic plan, but I'd be interested to hear how you decided.

We used ours for danish and fruit for breakfast, and bottled water to take to the parks. Plus, the MK Main Street Ice Cream Shop and for every-lovin' popcorn! :lovestruc We always run out of snack credits before the last day!

WOW thanks for posting that school bread but unlike Tricia I love it, but they make plenty to go around. And disneyjunkie no dole whips either what do you like? probably those fargo fries and I get tooo many fries at Disney you can have all those fries.

Cookies
Pretzels (not sweet pretzels :scared:)
Fudge
Cake
Candy
Popcorn
Funnel Cakes
Ice Cream
Caramel Apples
Candy Apples
Pies

I could go on. I love most WDW snacks. Dole whips and school bread just didn't live up to the DIS hype.

septbaby: The reason we picked the Deluxe DP is that my DH is a very picky eater and he hates CS/snack type food. He wants a "good" sit down meal, at each meal. Also, we are meeting my DB and SIL, who don't have kids and really prefer the "fancier" spots. They have been to WDW before and want us to eat at CA Grill & Narcoosee's and other 2 ticket spots. Vacation is all about the food for them

We started out with the regular DP, but after putting all the choices down on paper, we actually ran out of TS tickets. And, the places they are wanting to eat at are VERY expensive. So, it turns out to be cheaper to do the DDP for us. Luckily, my kids are used to hanging out with Auntie & Uncle in fancy places, so they are really good at long, drawn out meals.

The one thing about our plan, is that we will probably not use all of the snack tickets. Now that I know that I can use them anytime during the vacation, I'll be probably out there buying a ton of snacks on the last day to bring home to the kids' friends.

We are on the Deluxe plan and I'm afraid we won't have enough snack credits! Especially since a bottle of water is a snack.

Thanks for posting the picture of the school bread. I won't be having that, I don't like coconut!

I also don't like dole whips! Though I do love pineapple.

I wish the layered margaritas could count as a snack credit!

I think it depends on how hot it is when you go. We went in September, and used a lot of SC on slushy type things because we were so hot. But if we'd gone during a cooler time of the year, it would have been hard to use them up. We carry bottled water in, so we don't use them on water/sodas.

We run out of snack credits before anything else... Usually, we use them on something like an ice cream, a soda, a bottle of water , a slushie or something like a brownie each day... Honestly, I can't figure out how people have snack credits left over- I'm thinking I must be doing something wrong...We tend to have counter service left over.

Our snack credits never last. :lmao: Between frozen lemonades, cotton candy, dole whips and rice krispy mickey bars, we never have snack credits left over. Also things my DD8 wants (cookies, candy) I use a snack credit for instead of paying OOP. We're doing the deluxe DDP in December mainly because of the extra snack credit allowance.

I expected to have snack credits left over. Especially with the Deluxe plan. 24 credits for 3 of us over 4 days...We ran out 1/2 way through our last day. I think it was the fact that the pasteries in France are now considered snacks....we used lots of them there!!! Actually, I think we used more than half of them just in our day and a half at Epcot! Then there was that cinnamon roll at the Main Street Bakery....:worship: It was great not saying no (or being concerned about the cost) when the kids wanted something!

I was going to use our leftover snacks to bring back Mickey rice krispy treats...I wound up buying a bunch after promising the kids they'd have them!

I can't wait for our next trip...We'll have 60 snack credits!!!!:woohoo:

We have the same problem.
Wish I had double snack credits-so I can have my snack and get water also.
We try to use up all of the snack credits on water during the day
and when we run out we Pay OOP.

I think they should come up with a 2nd tier for snack credits (like 2 ts meals)

2 SC - Grand Marnier Slush:woohoo:

I'd be all over that!!!( and be usin up all my family's SC on myself!!!)

There's a little kiosk just outside of France. Walking from England, it'll be on your left side across from Les Chefs de France.

I did print out the list of snack credits at the top of this forum, but can I have some examples of pre-wrapped snacks that can be brought back to the hotel. ---things I can stick in the bottom of the stroller without making a mess--other then bottled water of course...any favorites?? &.....for you Disney lovers that know your way around (Tricia :thumbsup2 )---where do I get them--------I tend to over prepare my trips!!

Rice Crispy Mickey treats travel very well. There are two kinds out there. One is completely commercial, and comes in a sealed package. The Mickey Face is plain Rice Crispy and the ears are dipped in chocolate. These can be found in about any gift shop, including the shops that are as you exit rides.

The BETTER Crispy treat (IMO) is a fresh one. Same thing, plain face, chocolate ears (sometimes sprinkles and sometimes no sprinkles) There is a stick at the bottom of Mickey's face and a twist tie holding the plastic bag around him. Not quite as sealed, but still travels well in a stroller (a theory I've road tested myself)

I've found these at Goofy's in DTD, Main St Bakery (MK) and Liberty Inn (WS Epcot)
