Too many restaurants to choose from!

We're using the DDP in December and there are too many table restaurants I want to go to!! Upgrading to deluxe is not an option because it would cost too much for the six of us and we don't need that much food. I'm so torn between sharing a couple of meals, paying for a couple restaurants OOP (like The Plaza and Chefs de France), and then losing a few QS credits or just picking a couple restaurants to not go to.

We definitely will end up canceling one of the CP breakfasts, but I'm even thinking of canceling both and getting breakfast at MK Bakery. We've never been to MK Bakery (why, I have no idea!) and I'm looking forward to going there on this trip at some point.

What would you do?!

This is what I have:
Th - Coral Reef dinner
Fr - Sci Fi lunch - definitely keeping
Fr - 50s PT dinner
Sa - Tusker House breakfast - definately keeping
Su - Crystal Palace breakfast
Su - The Plaza dinner
Mo - Chefs de France lunch
Mo - Tutto Italia dinner - definitely keeping
Tu - Crystal Palace breakfast

Thanks in advance!

This is what I have:
Th - Coral Reef dinnerHaven't done in years--gets mixed reviews
Fr - Sci Fi lunch - definitely keepingwere there last month for the first time in ten years -- get the onion rings!
Fr - 50s PT dinnerhaven't done in ten years
Sa - Tusker House breakfast - definately keepingnever done, but it is on the list fo rnext year
Su - Crystal Palace breakfastA must do for us for the puffed french toast and Pooh and Friends
Su - The Plaza dinnerAnother must do -- our last meal before we head to the beach or home -- it's a nice meal after all the heavy meals we've eaten all week
Mo - Chefs de France lunchhaven't done...on the list for next year
Mo - Tutto Italia dinner - definitely keepingnever done
Tu - Crystal Palace breakfastSince you are doing once, I would drop this one; how about Boma for breakfast at the AKL -- we went last month and it was out of this world

Thanks in advance!

I think that if you swapped out one of the Crystal Palace meals for the bakery, that would probably be fine since you are going there anyway. I think that you will get more bang for your buck if you pay for one of the breakfasts out of pocket rather than the lunch or dinner. The Plaza isn't too expensive, but it still might be more than a breakfast. You might want to peruse the menus to come up with a ballpark figure.

i have to say we were sorely disappointed in coral reef. we did it for CP dinner package several years ago and it was not to disney standards. however, love tusker house breakfast, love the plaza, enjoyed 50's PT, and can't wait to enjoy tutto. i agree about doing CP only once. hope this helps:yay:

Coral Reef's portions are small (by Disney standards) so you probably wouldn't want to split there.

50's PTC has some of the largest portions I've ever seen so I would think that if you want to split a meal; this would be one of the best options to do that, especially since you are already doing a TS lunch that day at Sci Fi.

I would give up Chef de France lunch and keep one of the Crystal Palace breakfasts. Sunshine Seasons at Epcot offers great variety (and large portions) for a CS meals so since you already have a TS dinner at Tutto that day, I'd drop Chefs.

If you decide to pay OOP, Sci Fi is going to probably be the best one to pay for. If you are going to drop, I'd drop 1) One of the Crystal Palace breakfasts 2) Chefs de France and 3) Coral Reef.

Definitely keep 50's PTC. I had dinner there in December, and dinner at Sci Fi in June and vastly preferred 50's. We also liked Sci Fi but you don't want to miss 50's if you haven't eaten there yet!!

My plan is getting a bit complicated, but I think it will work pretty well. It was great to get feedback on the portion sizes at Coral Reef and 50s PT as that helped me plan where we can share meals.

Thanks for the Sunshine Seasons suggestion as I think we'll get breakfast there and then pay OOP at Chefs de France for a light and shared lunch (if Remy is still around in December!).

We'll get 3 fried chicken meals at 50s PT to share and eat family style.

And we'll order an adult meal here and there (Sci-Fi and Plaza) since the food is cheaper, I usually drink water anyway, and I can just have a couple bites of others' desserts.

The meal that seems to be getting left out is CP breakfast, but that may be subconscious in part because I'm not crazy about the idea of eating at CP on this trip. On Su, we'll switch to breakfast at MS Bakery. For Tu, we'll keep the ADR and pay OOP if we're up for it on our last day.

Boy, I don't know how planning meals gets so complicated! :goodvibes
