I'm just curious...
How many of you, as you get closer to your trip, look at your schedule and say..."I have way too many PS's?" I'm having this problem now. We have two meals a day, basically, planned. A big breakfast late morning and early dinner. But, when I look at my itinerery it just looks like too much! Anybody else have this problem? And do you ever cancel some at the last minute.

I'm trying to tweek everything but alot of PS's are things we have not done before but want to keep our usual fav's!

Good Luck, 'cause I'm feeling your pain!

Decisions, Decisions!

I have at least 2 ps for everyday if not three. I like knowing that I'm not going to have to wait too long to eat. Plus I'm on the gold plan so I want to be sure I get meals at places I like to eat.

I always plan at least one PS per day because I can't stomach the thought of counter service all day! Usually we end up with one or two days with two meals. A big breakfast and then dinner on those days and usually no lunch is required. Other days are varied with our big meal at either breakfast, lunch or dinner.

On our trips we usually end up cancelling one or maybe two at the most of our PS's because we decide to go to a different park, etc. but that vast majority of the time we don't have that problem.

We make 2 PS's each day except the day we go to AK. We really like the sandwiches at Pizzafari, and sometimes hot dogs at Casey's Corner. Other than that.........we eat breakfast in the room and lunch and dinner in sit down restaurants. We tried eating fast food at lunch eat day our first year and hated it. In fact, dh was just mentioning last night how he even hated eating fast food for one day when we went to Bush Gardens in Va. It so nice to go into an air condidition room, not fight for a table, sit in comfortable chairs, have unlimited refills on drinks and relax while someone else brings you your food.

We wouldn't have it any other way!

we have 1 PS a day, and I thought it was too much. Remember, you don't have to use them, and with the exception of those that require deposits, you don't have to worry about cancelling them if you don't need it.

We have about 2 PS a day for lunch and dinner. A couple of those are not set yet. I am trying to get the Plaza Restaurant in the MK for dinner (after 4:30pm) and having no luck:) One day at AK we will eat at Flame Tree and one day at MK we will eat at Casey's. We always have a light breakfast-muffin and milk or a piece of fruit. We do lunch around 12/12:30 and dinner around 6:30pm so plenty of time in between.

I would try the Plaza again when you have between 10-15 days before the day you want to eat. I couldn't get anything after 4:30 for CRT dinner when I first called but when I tried back about 2 weeks before the date I wanted they had later times available.

I always have at least 2 per day. Usually breakfast and dinner. Generally toward the end of the vacation, we start to cancel them because we're tired or think of something else to do. It's no big deal. They don't come and drag you to the restaurant if you cancel your PS! Plus, it's a nice surprise for someone who thought they didn't have a PS and then tries one last time during their trip and discovers they can have one.

No big deal. If you can't or don't want to eat somewhere, you don't have to, but it's worse to want to eat somewhere and have to wait 4 hours.

Yes, we have been in your situation, and found that at time, we were running from one PS to another and not having time to enjoy the parks.

As long as your PS are spaced far enough apart, you will be fine, just make sure that you aren't giving up some of the prime times in the park for comfortable touring, like early morning. Of course, then the parks will be less full and those of us who don't eat those big meals in the morning won't have to wait in as many lines.;)

We generally have 1 advance PS per day because (like Becka), to me the thought of 3 counter service meals in a day is too scary. We do sometimes add some same-day PSes when we're actually at WDW, though.

Some of it just comes down to personal preference and how much you hope to acomplish. When we move up to 2 per day, as we often do at MGM in order to do the Fantasmic dinner package, I find it's particularly hard to schedule the shows into your day. One day as we were examining the 5 shows offered for Hunchback (a few years ago) we realized that the first show was too close to the beginning of our lunch PS, the second show was during lunch, the fourth was too close to our dinner PS and the 5th was too close to Fantasmic. So we were left with exactly one time to see that particular show, and everything else had to fall into place around it.

Just a thought.

We have two scheduled per day. Early breakfast and dinner around 6 ish each day. My family doesn't like fast food. If we are going to spend a lot on food, we'd rather sit down, have plenty to drink and enjoy ourselves.

Dining is part of our entertainment since many of our Ps's are character meals.

Good luck. I wouldn't cancel until you are sure.

Thanks for the insights. I've tried to schedule so I don't loose prime park time. As far as parades/shows go, most of them we're not doing. Hope to be on rides while the parades are happening. The only parade we want to catch is Spectro. And of course Fantasmic. We booked Garden Grill at a time so we could get over to YC marina for our IllumiNations Cruise. We figue the a.c. will be most wonderful in the restaurants. Looks like I'm not the only one who has a lot of PS's.
