We just spent two days in San Diego at Lego Land and the Wild Animal Park. On each of the two days we did a park and the kids were asleep in the car by 6:30. We have planned a trip to DW in March for five days. Fearing that we haven't allowed enough time (given that the kids really seemed to need a break), I've added three more days giving me a total of eight full days in WDW. My kids are 3 and 1.

I am now feeling like I have arranged for TOO MUCH time. The price isn't all that much more than the original trip since we had already paid for the flights. It was just a few more nights in the hotel/dining plan.

I need some reassurance that we won't regret having added the extra days and that we'll have enough to do.

There is far too much to do at WDW regardless if you stay 4 or 8 or 100 nights!
You will never be able to see and do everything anyway. That's why so many of us over here on the DIS go back as often as we can. With eight days you can take a slower pace, which will be needed with two small children. WDW is very large and it takes a considerable amount of planning to ensure a great visit. Keep reading these boards. Check out the loads of WDW info on allearsnet.com, wdwinfo.com and mousesaver.com.
Believe me, you will have a great time and not at all regret adding the additional days. Short stays force you (intentionally or not) to try to do too many things.....and usually regret it later.
You WILL have a wonderful time! :thumbsup2

While I wouldn't need 8 days to do WDW with a baby and a pre-schooler (there are so many attractions you can't do, or will have to baby-swap to do) if you spend a lot of down time at the resort you'll have a great time!

You will definitely not regret going longer. Our "minimum" seems to be about 10 days. It is so nice not to have to go commando style to do everything you want and actually have some down time to just hang out and relax.

Disney can definitely be overload for little kids and they do need a break if everyone is going to have fun.

Plan what you want to see and then have fun.
You'll have a wonderful trip!

Thanks for the reassurance everyone! I'm sure we'll have a great time...and it's all booked..so we're going!

We just spent 6 nights at Disneyland--all on property--and could've used a few more days. Our past few trips to WDW have been 10 nights. So to answer your question--NO, there is never too much time at Disney! Especially if you let your kids set the pace.
Have a great trip! :sunny:

After having just come back (we have a 2 1/2 yo), I think the more days the better, especially if your kids still take naps. We made it a point to be back in our room every afternoon so our son could take a nap. If we were staying longer it would've been nice to go back to places like Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom.

be glad to have the extra nights. Our first trip was 11 nights and everybody told me that I was crazy, but I new that if we tried to do it in a week that I would push everyone past crazy and it wouldn't be pleasant! The more days you spend, the more relaxed you will be. When you stay for a shorter amount of time, you just think of every minute ticking away and it makes it hard to just hang out and enjoy being in the happiest place on earth. :bounce:

I just extended our stay from 7nt to 14nt. princess:
no such thing as too long :teeth:

I agree with above. We stayed 6 nights in June, and wished we could have stayed longer. (My kids were 7, 5, and 2 yo twins). We're staying 10 nights in November. (And again, I wish we could stay longer!!! :goodvibes ) Have a great trip!
