Extending Saturday hours this time of year is pretty typical, it's not a new thing this year. MK hard ticket Halloween parties have been happening for many years. They are adding more because the parties are selling out.

There's nothing you can do about the number of parties, which are scheduled due to demand for them. So some get frustrated and call Disney "greedy" and somebody actually said on another thread that they don't see why all the parks can't be open to the public until midnight every day of the year. It's a given that won't happen.

The Saturday night extended hours have occurred every time I visit in the Fall or in the Christmas holiday season. I cannot remember one time they have remained "normal" closing.

Honestly I still don't see what the fuss is all about. The parties are there, they're not a secret. It is what it is. If you don't like the parties, choose different time of year to visit.

I agree. There is a tradeoff if you book during the Party season, Many times there are discounts and offers available that are not there at other times of the year. There is never a "slow" season, but the parks are less crowded during the week than the "partyless" seasons, and on the days there is a party, the MK has pretty wide open attractions throughout most of the day.

Bottom line: you cannot have it both ways. Pick your poison and make the best of it.

They can accommodate either the guests who want to go to the parties, or the guests who are not pleased that there are so many parties because they don't want to go to the parties and want longer nighttime hours. Not both. If the demand for the parties decreases, there will be fewer parties.

there are 4 parties scheduled while im there
i think that is crazy it just seems unfair

Vent away, even for those who know the drill that time of the year, the frequency of the parties are a chunky nugget to work a schedule around.

I'm there same time every year, still refining my plans that I had in place as early as possible for this year's visit. Admit that since I'm there often I may be a bit more casual in my typical planning, but do step it up for party events, holidays, etc.

Everybody has a different style and wants/needs for their trips. If spending all day in MK was up there for you, then you just have to find a way to adjust, but sure don't have to be happy about it. In that regard, write/call, whatever to express yourself, if only for being cathartic.

The parties are ahuge cash cow for Disney. Would assume many in your situation might decide to add on park-hopping to be able to finish out their day, yet another winner for the mouse. Unless the gate reflects a huge drop, likely more of these sorts of events will eventually roll out to increase the bottom line. Only if people start to vote with their feet/pocketbook, will it cease.
