Too late to change from Mears to town car?

I think I already know the answer but I thought I would throw it out there just in case...

I already received my package with my transportation vouchers etc and as you can see I am under the 30 day mark (woo hoo!). My question is, is it too late to change my transportation from Mears to a towncar?

you can try to get out of the package deal with disney, but i doubt disney will let you do that. I heard that diney and mears work togather. disney gets kick backs from mears shuttle company. If you are taking the shuttle from the air port to disney,you will waste atleast hour and half to two hours. next time call happy limo and they will get you to disney in 30 minutes or less and also give you the option to stop at a grocery store for no extra charge. town car will cost you around $80 round trip. shuttle will charge you $28 or $29 per person. you do the math. hope this will help you and your family. good luck!

Thanks. I know Mears takes forever which is why I wanted to change to a towncar. It wasn't so bad last year when I used Mears but since my flight gets in later this year I want to get to the CBR as soon as possible and start my vacation. As opposed to standing on the curb in this mass of people waiting to get on the bus.

I guess I'll call tonight and see if they can make the change. I'm ready to hear a big fat NO though.

Let us know how it goes.

We booked the FTP with Travelocity, and after reading a lot on the boards about Mears, I tried to call and cancel the shuttle service. They said we could cancel the Mears, but it would cost $50 to cancel

So....I decided to just eat a lot of sandwiches between now and then, save pennies, and I made a reservation with Cartier anyway.

I'd still like the money back from not going on Mears, but I figure that our time is worth a lot too.

So if there is a way to cancel without a fee, I'd really appreciate knowing about it.
