We're booked into POR on Feb 10, and have already paid our final balance. DH & I have APs, and we bought a PH ticket for our DD3. Is it too late to add the dining plan for the one night we'll be there?

We move to BWV the next day, but it would be nice to have our meals covered for the one day we don't have a kitchen.

You could add the DDP. But I am not sure you would want to be the 1 day tickets for everyone in your party just for the DDP for one night. :confused3 (The tickets and DDP would turn this into a MYW package.)

Have you considered the DDE? Or do you plan on cooking while at BWV?

We're spoiled by being DVC members - you don't have to buy tickets to get the dining plan.

We have the DDE card for the rest of the stay and we're planning on ordering from wegoshop for 3 dinners in the room (with 2 toddlers I expect to actually get back to the room in time to eat about that often). I was just hoping to get one day at the bargin prices of the DDP... I didn't realize that you needed to buy the tickets to get it if you aren't a DVC member in a DVC resort.

Oh well.:confused3

PLEASE DISREGARD THIS POST. I was not awake when responding to the OP and was referring to those DVC members wanting to add DDP to their stay at a DVC resort. Doh!

If you're a DVC member, you can add it on without purchasing tickets. I would call to have it added prior to check-in. From the dining plan FAQs at the top of this forum:

Do I have to stay onsite?
Yes, you must be staying at a Disney hotel and book a package, or be staying at an on-site DVC resort and staying on DVC points. There are conflicting reports with regard to whether or not you can purchase the Dining Plan with a DVC cash reservation for a stay at a DVC resort.

Is there an admission purchase requirement?
With the exception of guests staying at DVC resorts on DVC points, you must at least purchase a basic one day admission ticket, but you do not have to purchase a ticket that matches the number of nights you are staying.

This is true if staying at a DVC resort with their points, but the OP is not staying on points the first night and not staying at a DVC resort. They appear to be paying for a one night room only reservation at PO Riverside. They can not add the DDP to a room only reservation. The DDP is part of a package unless you are staying at a DVC location and renting as a DVC member with points (or their cash nights).

You're totally correct. I wasn't quite awake when I responded. I do know this. For some reason, I was thinking they wanted the DDP for the night at BWV. Doh! Thanks for correcting me. :)
