Too late once paid in full?

I think some travel sites will refund the difference if the cost of the flights goes down from when you purchase. I know several years ago I purchased flights through Orbitz and a couple months after I booked, the price dropped significantly. I think (my memory isn't what it used to be) they refunded the money directly to my card. It is probable that they now would just issue orbitz credit. But, that could be used to book a hotel stay as well.

About the hotel, I already had a special "Friends and Family rate".

Just login, go to reservation and click modify. Then you should be able to modify the sail date as well as cabin.

I should know in two hours... If we are going to switch to Nov 30, I might be able to book restaurants and activities... Today or tomorrow? That would be awesome.

Hi

We did a lot of research on hotels in Miami. If you are willing to stay near the hotel rather than the beach it may be cheaper. Hampton Inn blue lagoon is less than 200 and is not on the bed bug registry. Homestead suite when i looked for my dates was less than 200. We are going in end of Jan which is the peak season for Miami. You could call Uber for a ride to the port.

We stayed here in December 2013 and it was nice. They have a shuttle that cost about $10 per person to the port that worked well for us. We were a party of 12.

Flight YUL-MIA (I bought it with points) has just been cancelled. I can make other arrangements easily. I also cancelled hotel booking. My own boss just gave me the green light (switched vacation dates) ...

All I am waiting for is the answer my husband's boss. *Fingers crossed*

CONFIRMED!!!! XD

We are now booked on the Dream for Nov. 30, 2015... Stateroom Category 5E - GTY ... I have been able to book everything I wanted to book with the exception of Palo Brunch... So I booked Remy Brunch instead. :P

I got "refunded" 400$ US. Anybody knows if the funds will go back on my card or as On Board Credit?

refund will go back to whatever the original source of payment was

Remember, if you would rather do Palo brunch than Remy, you can check once onboard (as long as your Remy brunch isn't the first day) to see if there are any spots available. We've never had an issue booking Palo brunch onboard - but it's been a long time since we've been on a 3 or 4 nighter.

When i cancelled one room - kept a second - i requested the deposit be put on my OBC which they did no problem. Once on board it took me a day to figure what the credit was - i completely forgot. However, if you have actioned this is it is probably too late. You could always ring them and see?

Thanks for the info! :)

Apparently, it's all good: my husband prefers the refund.

The refund will entirely cover the amount spent for the 2 pre-cruise nights at Port Orleans Riverside that I just booked.

I really don't know what I am going to do... I was really into the Palo Brunch idea... BUT, during our last cruise we had dinner at Remy and it was the best dinner of my life. What if Remy turns out to be the best brunch of my life? :wizard:

well that's just the risk you take when eating at nice places.

Change of plans. DH wants to give Palo dinner another shot instead of Remy Brunch (we can't do it all!) ...

We stayed at an airport Hampton Inn in Ft Lauderdales and they provided transport to the port. check it out several hotels did that.

We are also on this cruise! And like you, we sincerely wanted a Palo brunch but we were only able to book the Remy champagne brunch. I've got my fingers crossed that we will be able to get it switched onboard! I can't wait! Only a couple of weeks now!

I didn't read all the replies, but in response to transportation; from Miami airport; there are bus options that will take you to Canaveral. Look into that. Redcoach.usa and a few others.

As long as you are not past the Paid in Full date (the offical PIF date, not just that you've paid in full), you can change/cancel your cruise with no penalties. Except for Concierge bookings - then you lose you deposit.

We just switched a cruise to Concierge. We were told, unequivocally, that the deposit will transfer to another date if we need to change it, including out of Concierge and into a regular stateroom. It's just not refundable. I asked several times for confirmation to make sure, even though we have no plans on changing our cruise a 4th time.
