Too early?

I just made an ADR for Tusker House breakfast at 8:10am on the Sunday that we're at WDW. We're staying at Poly and planning on taking the bus to AK. I read somewhere that the character bus runs at 7am? Is that right? Also, will we have enough time to get there, get in the park and then get back to the restaurant in time? If not, what time should I try and change the ADR to?

You will have plenty of time. Even if it took you 20-30 minutes to get to AK, it takes 5-10 mintues to check in at the entrance and walk to the back where Tusker House is located. (it was a much quicker/shorter walk that we remembered from being at AK 2 years ago) And yes, buses start running to AK around 7am. You can double check with your transportation CM at Poly to make sure.
Best perk, when you finish eating and visiting with the characters, you will be able to get on the safari ride without much wait. (The safari entrance is steps away from Tusker House) Early morning is the best time to catch a lot of animals out there because they feed them around that time.
We were there a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed this breakfast. It is a must do for our future trips!

Thanks! Where would I find the transportation CM? front desk area?

I'd try the front desk area. If you can't find one, ask another CM where you might find one. You might also find one near the bus area. I do know the Transportation people are the one's in purple pants!

We never asked about the times. I just went with what the majority of people said on this website. We had no problems catching buses based on that info (7am for buses to AK, Epcot and Hollywood studios, 6:30am for MK).

That's the same time as out ressie and I'm excited! I love to get in the parks before they open! You will have plenty of time and fun!
