Hi,
Is this too early?
Hoping to rent points for at least 2 bedroom, arriving dec 3rd 2005 and departing dec 11th 2005. We are hoping to buy into DVC and would like to rent and view the resorts before purchasing a contract.
Also is there a manual on how to use the points system (ex: banking, using your points, use year, etc) or do I need to buy the shares first?
Thanks for any help you can give,
dd

Yes, it is too early to book for December 05. You are looking at either 11 months or 7 months out. For instance, say you want to stay at VWL (Villas at Wilderness Lodge). If you find a VWL owner who has the points to rent, they will be able to book your reservation at the 11-month mark. However, if you want to stay at VWL but the seller owns at a different resort, they would be unable to book at VWL until the 7-month window. Just a note that the first few weeks in December are very busy times at the DVC resorts.

Depending on what resort you're interested in, I may be able to help you out when the time is right!

As far as your other questions, I'd suggest posting them on the DVC Discussion forum. You can also link to a list of Frequently Asked Question from that forum.

Although it ids too early to book it is not too early to get a point rental arrangement set with a DVC member. The early Decemeber reservations have to be called in on a daily basis for some of the Resorts to insure you get the dates and accommodations that you want. let me know if you need help with your reservation. docdds@aol.com
