Too crowded?

We too will be spending our FRIST time ever at WL during May 22-29. We know this is a big place, but will the crowds there at the pools and eating areas be too crowded for us to take in all the "magic" of the lodge? We've read they are fully booked due to a triathalon.

Just want some ideas, if you have any, on how to still relax and be surronded by people.

When we go during that time, we always do EMH and have a great lunch at the parks then head back to the WL soon afterwards because the parks do get crowded....after a rest or swim we just enjoy the lodge it has never been crowded during the day but for that week-end I would make PS for any meals you might want to have at WCC or AP.

Many times if the resort is booked because of a special event, you won't find huge crowds in other areas of the 'world'.

For example, if you avoid the studios during SuperSoap weekend and Star Wars weekends, the rest of the parks are not that crowded.

My way of avoiding crowded parks is to avoid whichever park is having the extra magic hour that day. In my experience, that will always be the most crowded park. Even if a lot of people don't get there early.
