We are sailing on the 3day Wonder next week. Given the cold weather here in the southeast, I am thinking that it may be too cold to swim. Does anyone know the water temperature of the Wonder's pools at this time of year? I assume that the pools are not heated, am I wrong? I know DSs will want to try out the Mickey and Goofy pools even if there is snow. Thank you!

The pools ARE heated...and contrary to popular myth from other ship experiences outside of Disney, the pools are also fresh water. This one will depend on the air temperature as to whether you can tolerate it. We were on the 4 day in December and the ocean water temp was too cold for us, but my family loved the pools and with air temps in the low 80s...it was just fine.

There were alot of kids in the pools onboard on the 1/4 Magic....but the air temp was too chilly for me. I just kept imagining what it would feel like when I got out of the water with that breeze blowing!!!!

When we were at Cape Canaveral on 1/3 for "fawn"'s wedding, there were kids trying out the Radisson pool even though the temp was in the 50's with wind chills in the 40's. Way too cold for me, and the kids were shivering as soon as they got out of the pool into that wind, but they were from colder areas than ours and they were not going to let cold temperatures keep them from enjoying the pools in January.

I have a cute picture of DD3 from the Jan 19 Wonder cruise where she is bundled up in 5 towels, sitting near the Mickey pool. It was COOL but kids will be kids and insisted on swimming.

I must admit that we didn't get in the water at Castaway Cay though. The sun was warm but the water was too cold for us.
