Have you ever known someone who seemingly had no internal edit?

"Wow, I wouldn't have gone with that haircut."

"You're eating that for lunch?"

"I really dislike (insert whatever it is you're currently eating/wearing/doing)."

Oh, your MIL, too?

Mine has been better, though, since she quit drinking.

Yeah I know two like that. One on another chat board I frequent and a relative of mine.

Yes, a friend of ours (I can take her in small doses).

She's been fired from 5 jobs since I've known her. At one job, all 700 employees had to go through sensitivity training because her big mouth spewed some comments that royally offended quite a few of her colleagues.

She considers herself "honest" and believes people really need to hear her "opinions". Mostly, she is is just obnoxious and looking for attention.

I have an ex MIL like that. It used to really bother me but now I look forward to her pearls of wisdom:lmao: How do you like this one?..."umm, I wouldn't have bought them (cutains) but if you like them then I guess that's all that matters. At least you didn't waste alot of money on them"

Um, you know 3, what about Miss Information???? :lmao: :lmao:

My mom is like that, she wonders why we never visit her.

Yes, my younger sister. :sad2:

I always say to her "seriously, is your filter not working today?"

LOL, I may have to borrow that filter comment.

I actually had a coworker say to another coworker with a new haircut:

"WHY would you do THAT to your hair???"

My MIL. Some of her doozies:

After seeing a new table we had just purchased: 'Oh, I thought you were going to get something nice'

At breakfast the morning after Dh and I had spent the night at their house she said in a voice dripping with sugar: 'Thank you for trying to make the bed, sweetie'

I could go on and on....

My MIL

At a party in the summer her first words (even before hello) to my SIL were "you've gained alot of weight - you need to diet". Needless to say my SIL left the party for about 2 hours because she was so upset. My MIL wonders why no one calls her often or gets together with her.

No, but my family and friends do. ;)

I have a filter, I swear.

My niece. She has a heart of gold but no filter and is always having things come out the wrong way. She takes after my grandmother (who did not have a heart of gold.) :rotfl2:

When we hear my niece make one of our comments, we say, "Why, thank you, Dorothy." (Grandmother's name) :lmao: That's when my niece will become mortified and apologize.

Her 4 yo dd is turning out to be the same way. Apparently, it's hereditary.

My FIL. When we told him we were expecting our third child - "What did you do that for?"

I sometimes am too blunt with people I know well. I guess I just trust them to know me, it's how I am, and I expect the same from them. And if I inadvertenly hurt somebody's feelings I would hope they would tell me rather than silently resent me.

Yes. Some people amaze me. I've always wondered how people can make it through life with an undeveloped or non-existent filter. Why say everything that you are thinking?:scared:

I think I work with most of them......
