We'll be in Disney for our wedding anniversary and my daughter's gotcha day (the day she came home from Korea). We celebrate gotcha day similar to a birthday. Too bad Disney doesn't view it as such :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My brother's family celebrates Gotme day and Keepme day for both their kids. I can 't believe Disney doesn't have a button for that!:goodvibes

We celebrate Gotcha day at Disney every year. We also celebrate "family" day. While you may not get a "free" ticket, you can go to GS and they will give you a pin that says "we are celebrating". There are a few CM's at GS in th MK that are familiar with Gotcha day and have made a "fuss" over my DD.:thumbsup2

And congrats on "Gotcha Day"!
:cheer2:

I have never heard of gotcha day. I just wanted to say how incredibly sweet it is and I hope they do make a special celebration button for it someday.

We celebrate "Family Day" (that's what we call it) Our daughter was adopted from Guatemala.
Maybe you could have pins made or tshirts to wear. There are a lot of things that you could do like order a cake etc..... That is something we are thinking of doing.
Have a great time!!!!! and HAPPY GOTCHA DAY!!!!!:flower3:

We call it airplane day because instead of a stork delivery it was an air delivery! Definately go and get a celebrate button and have a great time!

Only one of my kiddos has a Gotcha Day, but all three of them have birthdays. Maybe that's why they only have those super special perks for birthdays during the "What will you Celebrate" campaign- everyone has a birthday.

Gotcha day- or Family day, as we call it, at Disney- what could be better?

I love Gotcha Day. Friends celebrate Gotcha Day for their Granddaughter. It IS a great day!

I've never heard of Gotcha Day! That's adorable!

You should make some Gotcha Day t-shirts for the parks or something. Who knows what kind of pixie dust you could get! :goodvibes

Definitely get the "i'm celebrating" button. The CM's at Guest Services have Sharpies that they could maybe write on the bottom "Gotcha Day" for you so that you can personalize those pins.

Have a great time Celebrating your Special day!

Congrats to you and all of your family!

But, when I first saw the title of your post...

I naturally assumed that GOTCHA DAY was April 15th!!

$$$ :scared1: $$$

I will have to get her a button, I'm sure she'd get a big kick out of that! It's her 4th Gotcha day. She's getting so big.....

When will you be there? We'll be there for my son's 1st Gotcha anniversary May 2-9.

I'll definitely get him an "Im Celebrating" button too! :-)

And some gratuitous cuteness....

We'll be there May 1st through the 8th. Her Gotcha Day is the 2nd.

Our actual date is the 20th but we couldn't go that week so we're celebrating a little early. :-)

Maybe we'll see you around! Our son from China is 3 1/2 and we have two older boys 10 and 8. If I knew how to post a picture of him, I would! ha ha

I agree! Our Gotcha day is in October, but we will be celebrating our Family day aka "Metcha Day":cheer2: while we are there in July.

We celebrate Gotcha day in July-but it will be our 4th as well.

Mods as this does have to do with planning at Disney can it be moved back? Familes ARE celebrating Gotcha and Family day at Disney and should be able to talk about here.

For those with Children from China-take your kids to Epcot's China-the CM's tend to make a "fuss" over our kids. :thumbsup2

In addition to the "I'm celebrating" pins, you can ask on the creative board for someone to make adoption/family irons on and all have matching tee shirts.:thumbsup2

Our ODD's Gotcha Day is in the same month as her birthday. We normally celebrate everything together for her! This Sept we are going to celebrate our 1st family day. We picked this month b/c it is in between both of our girls' birthday's! DH and I figured what better place to go, then back to the place where we wished for our children!

Have a great trip!! :lovestruc
