Tony's? Yay or nay? I have one night with no ADR and we will be planning to stay in MK for Wishes so I was thinking about doing dinner in the park.

If not Tony's where do you like for sit down dinner in MK? We're paying on our own for this.

TIA

Personally I liked Tony's.

but it would not be my first choice. Crystal Palace would be first followed by LTT.

My answer is, "it depends." If you are the type who would like to finish a late dinner, and then stroll out, watch the fireworks and leave, then Tony's is a great plan. You also have to like Italian, obviously. I don't like dinner at the Crystal Palace simply because I don't have the patience at that time of day to fight a buffet, and all the up and down that comes with it. You don't have that at LTT, but if your goal is perfect curb-side seating for the Parade and Wishes, you're a tad removed for that. Have fun!

Tonys totally rocks the chicken parm is huge and the atmospher is great the patio seating is our fav

We loved Tony's Town Square. Had the chicken parmesean and it was very good ( and very big ). I haven't tried any of the other table services places yet.

Either LTT or the Plaza. Or hop the monorail to Kona at the Poly. Tony's is a big NAY in my book.

BIG NAY IN MY BOOK! I just posted a comment about Tony's in another thread.....see my comments below:
Honest opinion?

Now, Tony's Town Square might be the worst meal I've ever eaten in WDW. It's borderline Chef Boyardee quality. In my opinion, it's not only the worst restaurant in the Magic Kingdom, but it's the worst Italian food in all of WDW and one of the worst restaurants, period.>>Totally agree!

Yeah i agree with the PP, but we are both from NJ the mecca of Italian Cuisine. While i wouldnt say Chef Boyardee, More like an Olive Garden,>>>I totally disagree with this. Tony's is not nearly as good as Olive Garden!!!! i have been to an Olive Garden ONCE in my life. Would not go to Tony's ever again>>Ditto!

If i were you i would ditch Tony's, go to LTT IMHO >>> I so agree with this! I LOVE Liberty Tree. Tasty!

Tony's was by far the most disgusting meal we've ever had in disney. I had the chicken parm, gross. Absolutely inedible. My son had the spag/balls, I tried it and I couldnt swallow the meatball. It was that gross. If you must go, dont order anything with tomatoe sauce in it. Funny suggestion since its an italian restaurant right? I'd much sooner eat chef boyardee than to eat at tony's again. I went there with very low expectations because of all the bad reviews i read...I went anyway, and boy am I sorry i did! Awful!

Crystal Palace-lunch---- loved the food here. nice variety and quite tasty.

I would recommend Crystal Palace or the Plaza instead of Tony's. Anything but Tony's.

We love Tony's! The chicken parm and ice cream bomb dessert are great! Liberty Tree is also a great one if you change your mind about going to Tony's.

Another big NAY here!

The food at Tony's is horrible, and the service is even worse. It is the worst meal we've ever had on WDW property.

We ate there on a spur of the moment last January and were pleasantly surprised. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, service was good, etc.

We loved Tony's and I'm usually a picky eater. I got a pork tenderloin dish and my DF got spaghetti and meatballs. We also split a Caesar salad and the ice cream bomb. They also gave us rolls and I think dipping oil. We both loved our meals. I thought service was great and the restaurant was so pretty. The location is also wonderful-walked out right when the parade was starting so we got a great view from the porch.

We will definitely be back to Tony's!:lovestruc

You can insert Mama Melrose in that sentence and it would also be true. Why can't Disney "do" Italian?? I wish they would turn Tony's into a 'Ohana annex :thumbsup2!!

OP: If paying out of pocket and you aren't looking for a big/heavy meal, try the Plaza. We were very pleased with our meal there and the price was great (by Disney standards ;))

Tony's makes me gag just thinking of the horrendous meal we had there.

I know everyone has a different experience, but I wouldn't even give it a try. It is a huge waste of time and money for a really, really awful meal.

I agree with the others about trying Crystal Palace or The Plaza.

I love Tony's....the service has always been good and the food is also pretty decent (imo). I make sure to get an adr every time we go to wdw and have never been disappointed. I guess it's up to your own individual taste. This year I have an adr for Tony's and also LTT. CP is a typical buffet that we have enjoyed from time to time. Never eaten at The Plaza, but it looks like it is mostly sandwiches. Hope you enjoy whatever you choose!
