Swapped out an ADR's based on all the bad reviews Tony's had. Did I make the right decision dropping Tony's?

Well, I have to take what I can get. Is there any penalty for changing ADR's multiple times? I know about the 10$ per person within 2 days.

the diamond horseshoe looked downright nasty. If you can't get crystal palace or be our guest or don't want to bend over for CRT then either eat at a monorail resort or go to a nice quick service.

I would rather eat at Plaza restaurant or Columbia Harbour House, if I couldn't get BOG, or Crystal Palace, but we're going to WCC one night instead.

We went to Tony's last year. We were VERY concerned after reading all the awful posts about Tony's. The place was very busy. We wondered why so busy if everyone hates it. We were pleasantly surprised with our meal. There may be better places to go, but we had an enjoyable meal and we eat there again based on our one and only visit there.

I would do walk up or same day reservation at skipper canteen if those were my choices.

I heard they just recently revamped the menu a bit at Diamond H so maybe it has improved. Tony's is busy because there so few choices.

Yes, from what I understand Diamond Horseshoe is horrible. I made the mistake of Tony's on my last trip and it was extremely bland, not terrible, but I can make better Italian food and I am not a great cook by any stretch of the imagination. I would skip both and eat at a quick service or try to get a same day for Skipper Canteen.

Tony's really is terrible. I got spaghetti and meatballs figuring how could they mess that up but they could. The sauce is like watered down unseasoned canned tomatoes, almost like they just opened a can and heated it up. I'm not a sauce snob and have happily eaten many a jarred sauce lol. So if you do go I'd actually recommend something NOT tomato sauce based. The Dessert was meh too but I think I did like the appetizer.

We enjoyed Tony's last September. My husband comes from Italian ancestry (and they like to cook and are pretty snobbish about food) and he enjoyed it. Food is such a subjective thing. I say give Tony's a try.

The pistachio creme brulee was really good.

There are lots of really nice restaurants on the monorail. There's no point spending time and money on a meal you aren't excited about or dreading. I would eat CS before I felt forced into a TS.

If those are your choices, I'd save the Table Service and have a Quick Service within the park. The hot dogs from Casey's on their worst day are more appetizing than anything Tony's is churning out.

Normally I say that food reviews are subjective. My belief is that everything is palatable in Disney, it just depends on the diner's taste. For example, a NYer may not love Via Napoli as much as someone from the south; a New Englander may not like the lobster rolls as much as someone from NY; and a southerner may scoff at Disney's grits, whereas I may LOVE them.

But... Tony's is just an insult to food. It's a widely known thing and an absolute sin, because they used to have a great breakfast back in the day!

If you're open to a QS, I recommend the following:
- BOG lunch
- Pecos Bill's

If you're able to leave the park and open to a TS at the resorts, I'd recommend the following:
- Kona at Poly
- Chef Mickey's at Contemp (it's not that good, but better than Tony's or Diamond)
- Grand Floridian Cafe

Also, if you are open to QS, we love Contempo Cafe. I think it's one of the more underrated QS and they have dynamite cupcakes.

Peco's Bill chicken fajitas platter is very good and the fixin bar a must. You can order white Rice if you not like cilantro (it's My case). The place is packed at noon, prefer a Time before or after.
