Does anyone have an opinion about Tony's? We're considering reservations for 5 PM-ish on a Wednesday evening. How's the service? the desserts?

The service was good. I had the salmon and for dessert I had the creme brulee both were very good, I would go back there again :thumbsup2

Think this was meant for the Restaurants section, eh?

I've been there twice in the last 6 months and had a great meal both times. Really enjoy it there. It's not going to be along the lines of a Tutto Italia but for basic Italian food in a Disney environment, it's well worth it.

I'll be moving this to Restaurants and Dining as it really isn't a Resorts question.

Thanks,

Knox

We actually had a fairly nice meal there in December. The pasta was overcooked slightly for our taste - we prefer al dente which I will make sure to specify next time we go.

The desserts were good. We all found something to like.

There are pictures of our meals and desserts on my blog (link in signature). At the main page just click on restaurant reviews on the right and scroll down to Tony's.

Hope this helps some. :)

for us this palce falls into the category of not on our favorites list, but we will go back there again. It's a fun little place, great location of course!

We ate here for the first time actually in May. (We did eat here years ago before it was Tony's and presented by Oscar Mayer!) We had a reservation in the beginning of May so it shouldn't have been crowded. They either over booked or really were running late. The reservation was sometime around 6:30 and the place was mobbed. We waited over 45 minutes past our time. The food was ok. Service fine. It's not our favorite but ok. I like the location as well.

We have been there 4 times and always had a great meal. Last time we were there we had the cannoli cheesecake and it was excellent!

I like Tony's. My dd has a severe peanut allergy and the chef came out to talk to us. She ended up making her a huge meatball that dd loved ( I have pics it was so big). Also, the waiting area is right near where the characters come in and out for breaks. While we were waiting for our table, my two dd's were on the floor watching tv (Lady and the Tramp, of course) and Pinocchio and his dad came in and sat on the floor with them for a while. It was a very magical experience esp. since my dd didn't realize who she was sitting next to her at first. I would definitely recommend this place!

I thought the service both times we've gone has been wonderful. The last time we went my sister was sick so she couldn't come with my Mom and I. We asked if they had any crackers to take back to her, but they didn't. The waitress brought us a take out box full of plain bread. The food is really good. The last time I had the sandwich of the day, which I think was roast beef panini and parmasen cheese chips. They gave plenty of chips. My mom had the shrimp Caesar salad. For desert we had the cheesecake, which was soooooo good. The presentation of it was really cute.

We love Tony's and always make it our first and last meals of our trip :thumbsup2

We ate there for DS10's birthday dinner (and sadly our last meal of our trip) just last week, and we really enjoyed it. We did have a short wait, but we looked around and were seated in a reasonable amount of time. Our waitress was very attentive, and she even let DD10 select anything she wanted off the adult dessert menu instead of a child's dessert sundae. (We were on the dining plan. DD10 was DD9 when we first arrived at Disney, so she was on the child's plan.) DD10 is our foodie, so she really wanted something more exciting for dessert, and the server was more than happy to offer when she overheard DD10 bemoaning her dessert choices to us! DH had the steak, which he said was good. DD12 and I each had the Shrimp Scampi which we both loved! The pistachio creme brulee was delicious. We plan to go there again on our next Disney trip.

I'm gonna have to give this spot another shot. Only been there once (1996) and it was not very good at all...

...but it sounds like they've improved... if I can keep myself from the Turkey dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, I may go this vaca...

It's weird because Tony's doesn't get favourable reviews on these boards quite often, but we enjoy it, and we are an Italian restaurant family!

It's cute, with good food and good service. We can split the veal parm, and this works out well with a growing toddler who eats more than I do!

To be honest, it's better than Tutto Italia, IMHO. Happy eating, Tiger :)

Tony's is a must for us on each trip. We always eat lunch there rather than dinner because DD17 and DS13 love the Bianca Flatbread and it is not offered on the dinner menu. I've stopped even asking if they want me to make reservations there because they will mention craving it many times throughout the year so I know what their answer would be.

Besides the food I think we all just enjoy the atmosphere at Tony's. It may not be the very best quality food, but it holds lots of fond memories for our family.

Enjoy your trip.:goodvibes

The food was good as I recall. I can't remember exactly what we had.

The service was ok.
The food bringer brought me the wrong meal. He dropped and ran so I didn't have a chance to say it was wrong. It was about 5 minutes before our server came back so I could get it straightened out.
He did apologize for the mix up.
Our drinks were kept refilled and with DH, DS14 and DD10 who empty a drink in a minute that's a big deal to us.

We decided we would go back there someday.

We love Tony's!! It's become a must-do for us. The service is wonderful, the food is really good. We're very happy eating there.

I'll add my plug for Tony's. We love the food and service. It's always on our list of dining. :dance3:
