We have dined at Crystal Palace a few times and are looking for another option for Magic Kingdom. Has anyone eaten at Tony's Town Square?? All opinions welcomed!!:thumbsup2

I'm not a fan of either, but still continue to book these places since there are so few table service options.

We had lunch at Tony's over Christmas and were seated outside on the porch. These seats were great for people watching! DH was able to order chicken parmesan even though it wasn't on the menu and he really liked it. I ordered the baked ziti--there was nothing baked about it--really slimy and poor tasting. DS got a kids pizza and ate only the chicken on top of it.

We ate at Tony's in December with our group of 13 and no one liked it. We had terrible service (server drop an entire plate of food next to my sister's foot and left it there for the whole meal, disappeared for 20 minutes at a time and only ever brought out 1/2 of the appetizers). The food was definitely NOT a big hit either. We had 3 kids (2, 2 &6) and all they ate was a little bit of plan spaghetti. The only dish that was edible IMHO was the eggplant parm.

We had heard the bad reviews, but decided to give the place a chance. WRONG decision on our part. We'll stay clear of it for our next trip.

We ate at Tony's for the first time in October...
LOVED IT!!!
We will be making ADR's there for our upcoming trip. DD and I had the spaghetti and meatballs, DH ordered salmon, and DS had some chicken dish. Everything was very good and the portions were huge! DD and I could've easily shared a meal. Our server was excellent and we had a lot of fun with the "unbirthday" surprise!
This is one of those restaurants where you will hear from both sides...those who love it  and those who hate it
You are going to need to give it a shot and form your own opinion :thumbsup2 Good luck in making your decision...

we hate tony's town square! we've(dh, dd, & me) given it a few tries
and are always dissappointed. the service is the worst.:confused3

We ate at Tony's in November before the Christmas party. We arrived when they first opened so our dinner felt VERY rushed. For example we had our appetizer I'd say a minute and a half after ordering it. The spagetti and meatballs was REALLY bad...worse than Chef Boyarde I'd say. However, my entree which was some chicken dish with cheese and prosciotto was alright. Dessert was rather silly as they served tirimisu in ice cream balls in an ice cream dish! All of this being said I am italian and grew up with italian food so I have high standards. The ambiance in the restaurant was *VERY* cute. While it certainly isn't a restaurant I would go out of my way for, it isn't one I would avoid at all costs if absolutely convenient.

We had a great experience at Tony's. Good food, great service and atmosphere and the best creme brulee I have ever tasted! Really and truly, if the menu appeals and the location works for your touring plan, I say give Tony's or any other WDW restaurant a try. In the end each and every place will have its fans and critics. You won't know which category you fall into until you try it for yourself!

I ate there twice in the same trip, in May/June of 2002. Both visits I had spaghetti with a large meatball in the middle. It was really good and the service was pretty good, too. I'd eat there again.

Well, add us to the list of LOVED IT!

We loved the atmsophere and the food. My girls enjoyed their thin crust pizzas and I loved my steak.

As with all restaurants, you will get differing reviews and you'll just have to decided for yourself.

We will be eating here for the first time in August 2007 - going to the PPP and needed a place in MK to eat. We were already having breakfast in CP, dinner in CRT and LTT didn't really suit us, so I chose TTS because I really loved the theming and I love Italian food :) I know it's had hit and miss reviews, but I'm not going expecting haute cuisine - if it's good great, if it's bad then at least it was free :haha: and we will be posting a full dining report with pics when we get back :)

We were there for dinner last June, after several pleasant lunch experiences there in the past. My wife ordered the Chicken Fiorentina and wouldn't touch it after a bite or two. "Try this" she said. I tried a bite and found it entirely unpalatable. We're not picky, but this entree didn't get eaten. The other entrees were okay, but nothing to write home about.

As you can see from this thread, there are very mixed reviews about this place. No harm in trying it out, as you may find you like it. However, I would avoid the Chicken Fiorentina. JMHO.

I had that same chicken and it was wonderful, so yes reviews are mixed! I hope you sent your wife's back, or asked for a refund.

Tony's has been a disappointment to us both times we tried it. The decor and location is soooo good....such a shame that canned spaghetti is much better!!
