I just made an ADR after skipping over this MK classic restaurant for all these years due to hit or miss reviews. I've finally decided to just take the plunge regardless. I'm going with an open mind and maybe I'll just to happen to be there on one of their good days! Lol! The kids really want to go and I personally really want to love it. Lady and the Tramp is one of our favorites!

I was just curious if anybody has been lately?? How was it??

We were there for lunch in early October. If possible sit out in the Atrium. It is much brighter. We always stop at Tony's. Love the food. This trip I had the baked Ziti. First time for this and it was wonderful. DS had the flatbread no complaints. Do not remember what the other DD had but everyone left the place happy. I was a bit upset because I was told that they are no longer serving the walnut lemon cake which was my favorite. It is still being shown on the allears.net menu but I was told that it has been replaced by a chocolate cake.

We always had the same problem you mentioned...always passed right by Tony's. So last year, we decided to give it a try and absolutely loved it! Delicious food, fabulous service, and such a neat atmosphere, especially if you love Lady and the Tramp. Don't miss their pawprints out front!

Our last time was last December. We ate there with another family. All of us, kids included, were happy with our meal. We've always enjoyed tony's

I personally think their food is horrifying. BUT if you and the kids are really wanting to eat here, then you should give it a shot. You might like it. One word of advice thou, their marinara sauce is awful. Ppl ive spoken with who've had non-tomatoe sauced based dishes seemed to enjoy their food a lot. The folks (including us) who had dishes WITH tomato sauce/marinara absolutely hated it. so to be safe, i'd stay away from the marinara. I also went in there with an open mind and very low expectations due to the mixed/bad reviews, but it was still a bad experience. And i really wanted to love it too cause i love Lady/Tramp!! I really hope you have a better experience than we did. good luck!

For years I avoided booking reservations there because my DH does not like Italien food, but last May we decided to give it a try and we all loved it, especially my DH!

We were there in August. It was our first time. I'd read the reviews, but I figure everyone's tastes are different so we gave it a shot. The food and service were sub par. It was the worst meal the whole 10 days we were there. At least we can say we tried it, but we won't be back. MK could really use more TS restaurants.

Tony's is one of our favorites. My DD 16 chooses Tony's everytime we go to Disney. Food was great, service too. Enjoy !:dogdance:

We were there in December. I had low expectations after reading the mixed reviews here, but was still a little disappointed. It wasn't awful, and it wasn't great, both service and food-wise. We had a party of 10, so ended up ordering most of the menu. No one was wowed by any of the food, but my husband did enjoy his meal, and finished most of mine and one of our DS's too, and the other DS was happy with his spaghetti & meatballs, so I guess it depends on your personal tastes. The zucchini fries were quite nice, and the atmosphere was cute (we got to hear the Dapper Dans open the restaurant).

It's not in our plans for our return trip to WDW, but if you've never been before it couldn't hurt to give it a try.

I went last september, we ate out on the porch and watched the afternoon parade while we ate. It wasn't the best food we've had at disney, but it wasn't the worst either. I think people have it in their head that it's not great, so they don't try it. Just like people MUST have certain restaurants or their trip isn't complete, even if those restaurants are only a slightly better than mid-grade steakhouse.

Different experiences for different people. I hope you enjoy it!

We ate at Tony's for lunch in 2005 or 2006 & weren't really impressed at all. That coupled w/ the poor reviews kept us from returning until last September.

We had a dinner ADR last September, & we were pleasantly surprised! DH & older DS liked the calamari appetizer, & I really enjoyed the zucchini fries appetizer. DH had some kind of pork entree that he said was fine. I had the shrimp scampi, & it was really good - very light & flavorful! The kids had the spaghetti & had no complaints, & our desserts were good as well.

Was it the most wonderful thing I've ever eaten at Disney? No. But it wasn't the worst either - more "middle of the pack" for me.

Plus, the atmosphere at Tony's is so cute! "Lady & the Tramp" is one of my favorite Disney movies! We like sitting in the sun porch area - it's very light-filled & spacious, & the tables don't seem as close together as the main dining room.

If you have autograph books, you can give them to your server, & he/she will take them to the kitchen for Lady & the Tramp to "sign"! :goodvibes

When we made our ADRs for our upcoming trip, we chose Tony's over Kona Cafe. Kona Cafe is really good (& the food is possibly better than Tony's). However, we decided we can eat at places like Kona at home, but we can't eat w/ Lady & the Tramp at home. Additionally, it's really nice not having to leave the MK!

We went to Tony's on the trip we just returned from (Spring break week) and my biggest complaint was that we got squished at a table right near a server station. My 2y.o. in a high chair was constantly in the way but there was little other choice on where to put her.

The food was pretty good. I didn't like the tomato sauce, but I'm also picky about my sauce so that's not a good judgement. My calimari though was really good and everybody else liked their food.

I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Very cute and the server's were very nice.

We went on our trip in February for the first time ever. We really enjoyed it, good service, good food. My kids enjoyed it too. It is tough to get them to eat anything but burgers and chicken tenders but they were a bit more adventurous. Sadly, no chianti available since in MK.

We too put off trying Tony's for a number of years, but recently went at Halloween. We were pleasantly surprised! Food was very good...(8.5),
..excellent pizza! and our service was spectacular..(10).
Liked it enough to eat there twice during Christmas break.
I think it goes to show that many of us have different tastes, and have had a wide range of experiences.

We tried Tony's (a few years ago) and weren't impressed. It wasn't horrible, but it most certainly wasn't delicious. Just blah. We all left feeling full and happy enough, but will try other places first before we return. That being said, I didn't come on here to make you nervous. If anything, I want to encourage you to go and form your own opinion. We've eaten at a couple of restaurants at WDW that have received less than stellar reviews. After eating at one of the restaurants, we found a new favorite of ours. It was a wonderful experience. I almost cancelled our reservations ahead of time due to being nervous about the shaky reviews. I am so glad we didn't. For the most part, I think the overall reviews give a good indication of a restaurant, but at the same time, we all have our own tastes and likes. I am so glad we went out on a limb and tried that one "iffy" restaurant (1900 Park Fare by the way). Go and try Tony's; it may become a new family favorite. If not, at least you will know and not always wonder. Hope you have a great experience!

Loved it went in 2010 and 2011. In 2010 they made our anniversary so magical. :goodvibes

I have to agree wholeheartedly with this. You have to try a place out because for every person who dislikes a restaurant there is a person who adores it. Honestly, if everybody disliked a place, it wouldn't be open for long. I've heard some horrible things about eating at Chef Mickey's but my family thinks it's great and we'll keep going back. You may hear terrible things about a restaurant or even a quick service but the only person who can know for sure if it's not something they like is you. Try it and see. Your family may think it's entirely worth the trip.

Try it and form your own opinion. It could end up as one of you favorites.
We ate dinner there in 2010 and liked it, so we've booked it again for October.

So glad to read positive reviews. We are trying Tony's for the first time and have an ADR booked for our June trip.

I agree everyone needs to try first and then form their own opinions. We found this out to be true this past November when we tried MM for the first time. We had been avoiding it due to the negative reviews and it was one of our favorite meals :goodvibes
