We are doing a quick 3 night trip over Father's Day for one of the the Star Wars weekends. We will be 2 nights at BCV, then our final night at the Polynesian. MK has evening magic hours that night and will stay open until 2 a.m., so we thought we would hang out at the Poly for the afternoon, rest up, then spend the evening at MK.

We could either do dinner first at the Kona Cafe, then head over to the MK, or head over to the MK first and have dinner at Tony's. DH loves spaghetti with spicey sausage, so Tony's sounded good (afterall, it will be Father's Day!). We did eat at Kona years ago and really enjoyed it, but the menu is different now so I'm not sure which to do. We've eaten at O'hana before and don't really care to do that again.

Kona or Tony's - which would you choose? Thanks!

We prefer Kona - overall better food and service.

I would choose Kona too over Tony's Town Square.. better food and good service. And also if you are a coffee person, make sure you get the French press.. it is good coffee..

We love Tony's! We have to eat there every trip on our last night! Try and ask for a table out on the patio-great view of SpectroMagic if you're there around that time or even just to see people coming in and leaving the park!

I know some have posted that they didnt like Tonys, but we had a great meal there on our last trip. We love Kona so I would do both places!!
Happy dinning.

Hmmmm...now I'm torn. I have a 7:30 ADR for Tony's - not sure what to do now. Since we are only at the Poly for one night, doing both won't really work out. We are definitely doing Kona for breakfast on Monday morning, but I still might rethink Sunday's dinner plans. Thanks for your input.

Kona. Tony's is not good at all and gets mixed reviews. I think you'll be disappointed. Kona is pretty consistent with good reviews.

We have loved Tony's. Excellent service even when crowded and food was very nice. We got to sit outside in the evening as the parade went by right in front of us while we ate.

Kona is good as well but if you're at Poly I'd rather eat at Ohanas which is excellent.

I loved Kona ,
Your best bet is to let your ADRs be your guide.
It was tough earlier this month to change ressies around. That might make the choice for you. I know it did for us:)

I love Kona and have never been to Tony's, but think about this.

Since this is Father's Day, what would he like and what is most important to him. The type of food vs its quality vs other factors. I am not saying Tony's or Kona's is better at one or the other. However if he loves italian no matter how it is prepared but does not care for asian influenced dishes no matter how expertly prepared and serviced then your best would be Asian. However if he has a high criteria for Italian food and is indifferent to Asian food then Kona may be in order.

Kona's by a mile. Tony's used to be a favorite but our family feels is not very good in food or service in the past couple of years. We've never had a bad experience with either food or service at Kona's.

Have a good trip.
