Is Tony's Really that bad? What about LTT? I have heard bad things about these two... is there anyone out there that likes them?

Never tried LTT.

However, I have tried Tony's. People return with awful, horrible, disgusting reviews. I've never had a bad experience there. I may have been extremely lucky, but you're going to get reviews from both extremes!

I like LTT's lunch menu, they have some great items on there - but I wouldn't go there for supper. JMO, though.

I went to both in November and I am not a fan of either but some people love them...LTT has a great atmosphere and the service and character interaction were great..the food was dry and overcooked...BUT they could have had an off night. I had friends we went and loved the food. So considering the atmosphere I would say to try it. Tony's just wasn't good..I thought the service was mediocre and the food was watery...Now, to be fair my mother in law is the best Italian cook and being from NY it is hard for us to eat at an Italian restaurant unless it is fine dining.

Keep in mind every restaurant in Disney has mixed reviews..just look at the menu's at allearsnet.com and choose the restaurants that appeal to you. Have a great trip!! :thumbsup2

THanks

We honestly are not doing many TS dinners b/c I am not sure what time my kids will fall asleep on me. (We are doing Character Breakfasts nearly daily b/c that is their best time!) I have LTT schedule for my last night there... Wondering if Mickey's Backyard BBQ would be a better way to end our trip?

We have enjoyed all of our dinners at LTT.

The last time we ate there was Dec. 21st, the night we did MVMCP.

Great time!

We love LTT! We have dinner there every trip we take to the World. Last year we tried Tony's for the first time. It was just ok in my opinion. It could have been better. The pasta was a bit over cooked, but edible. The thing that won them over was this lemon cake dessert that totally rocked. I wouldn't say that I'd never go back, it just wouldn't be my first choice.

I have eaten at both and enjoy both of them. The last time I ate at Tony's the food was so yummy, but the service wasn't great. We were on the DDP before the change in gratuity and we thought that might have something to do with it. We are scheduled to eat at LTT on our last night this year in June. I hoping for a great experience.

Why not LTT for supper? (because of course that is when my ADR is! lol)

Keep the reservation.... Food is a simple Thanksgiving, family-style dinner. Food is not fancy and no, it is not the best... It is good.... And character interaction is great.

We love Tony's for lunch...not as fond of the dinner menu. We find the lunch portions to be smaller and we are not wasting food; it doesn't seem to be as crowded at lunch and therefore the service is better in our opinion. We did LTT for lunch last year and had a great meal; this year we are trying it for dinner.

We really enjoyed Tony's, it was a bit surprising given the reviews around here. However, I notice that recent reviews are more positive. I don't think its to die for Italian food but it was really good the night we ate there. In particular I enjoyed the bread with the red pesto dipping sauce, the calamari and the desserts, the pistachio creme brulee in particular. The spaghetti and meatballs my kids ordered were very basic, huge portions and they enjoyed them fine. We also really enjoyed the atmosphere and the Lady and the Tramp theming.

LTT I have eaten at several times, always with great results. I love the salad. A lot of people claim this is tv dinners and it is in fact sponsored by Stouffers. However, it is made there at the restaurant (that would be one heck of a lot of frozen pans of mac and cheese to heat up) and pretty much everyone can find something they like to eat. I love the characters dressed up in colonial garb which for some reason I just find too cute.

Neither one of these will get a five star rating but they have both come through for my family with food and service.

By the way.... you can ask for chicken strips for the kids at LTT... you have to ask for them and they are not on the menu.... many kids are not into the meats they serve (turkey, strip steak and ham w/ mustard)... my kids eat the mac n cheese and chicken strips when we go and they love them both... they eat it up and really love the characters!

food was good - green beans were fabulous (don't know why but we all LOVE WDW green beans:confused3) - dessert great. Character interaction was terrific. DD (21) & I - every character pulled up a chair & hung out with us for a while. We noticed they were also very good at not allowing other children to interrupt their time with your kids if that makes sense. They would politely but firmly make the "other" child go back to his or her parents & wait their turn. I thought that was a great idea as some parents (JMO) allow their kids to run around as if they were the only ones that count!!!:sad2:

Keep the LTT ressie!!
