We are in the midst of trying to arrange our extended family meals for our May trip and are wondering what Tony's is like for lunch. We are considering a late lunch so would appreciate all opinions from those who have eaten there recently.

Thanks!
Carrie

Tony's is great for lunch. Sit on the sun porch & you might see one of the tiny birds that lives inside & flies around. They are easy to miss & won't bother you. The sandwiches are large enough to share for light eaters. The restaurant is "Lady & The Tramp" themed, one of my favorites. Enjoy!

We much prefer Ton's for lunch, as opposed to dinner. The sandwiches are very good, and the menu is reasonable. Atmosphere is very nice. For dinner, you pay about $18.95 for spaghetti and meatballs - ouch :earseek:.

I've only eaten here twice, both for lunch and on 2 different trips. Each time was wonderful. The 1st time I think I ate around 2 pm or maybe 1 and on a Sunday and it was rather quiet. Was in a Nov. just before Thanksgiving. They had the best acorn squash soup. I had one of their pizzas as the main meal. I truly enjoyed the tomato pesto they serve with the bread. Can't wait to take my hubby back so he can try it.

This last time, just in January. they had a cream of mushroom soup for the daily. There was some cheese in it and I can't remember which but again it was truly wonderful. I had the pizza again, can't remember without looking but it was good too. The soups tend to stick out in my mind cause I'm really picky about which soups I'll eat and both times have been wonderful experiences. Oh, in January I had a 11:30 am PS. I was able to look out (wasn't in the garden room) and see the characters in the main area still posing and greeting :D

Also for those traveling solo, both times I was doing a solo day (jan) or trip (nov). The cast was very nice and I felt comfortable and eating alone is not one of my fave things to do. :D

Enjoy!!! I can't wait to go back and just the thought of those soups has me drooling ;)

We loved Tony's for lunch! We ate there twice over our honeymoon, using our wishes from the Silver Plan both times. The computer at Narcoossee's made a mistake, and we ended up with 2 extra wishes for our last day. We'd planned for MK and really wanted to go to Tony's again; that was the very last thing we did before we left and it rounded out our trip perfectly:-) The atmosphere is very nice, we ate in the sun room and on the porch. The food was great both times. We loved the dipping sauce for the bread and the chicken alfredo tortellini. I had bridal minnie ears on, so they had us reinact Lady and the Tramp's first kiss wish a strand of spaghettie. Both servers were wonderful as well. Have fun!

Tony's is a GREAT restaurant. I ate there for the first time during my trip in May. In fact, I liked the food so much...I ate there twice!!!! The spagetti and meatball was awesome!!!!!!! It was sooo good. Not to mention the atmosphere in the restaurant was cute. You can't go wrong with Lady and the Tramp :D
I'd highly recommend eating there. HOpefully in June my sister and I will eat here for lunch :)

Tony's is my favorite place for breakfast! Try to get a table on the veranda. The last time we were there my husband got up to use the restroom and Tigger took his seat! He was on his way to a character greeting right next door and wanted to see what we were having for breakfast. My DS, who was 5 at the time, was thrilled!!

I also remember them bringing a large cinnamon roll to our table and said it was compliments of Tony!

Thank you for the reviews. We are trying Tony's for lunch on
our 2nd trip to WDW. The kids did not want to go back
to the Castle (go figure). So we are doing CP and
Tony's as our sit down lunches.

My DD loves 101 Dalmations :)

We ate there during our Feb 2002 trip. We have friends that work at MK on Main St and they said it would be a nice lunch. It was fantastic, very enjoyable and relaxed...at the time it was also a character meal, I think it was because the Crystal Palace was being rehabbed.

Do you really need PS for Tony's at lunch time or can you wing it? I just don't know what time we will be hungry at. Breakfast and dinner are, to me, easier to plan for.

By your countdown clock, it looks like you are going in May. That's usually a smaller crowd time, but then again, Tony's is very popular. You might want to make a PS & then cancel it if it doesn't work for you. At least you'll be covered.
