Tony's at MK

If you really must eat there, yes, definitely make a reservation.

If you're willing to consider someplace else, anywhere else, make a reservation there instead. Tony's is pretty horrid.

I agree with this. Tony's is by far the nastiest restaurant i have been to at disney. My son had the spag/balls, VERY gross. I tried it and refused to swallow. My chicken parm was sour tasting, just nasty stuff. Their marinara sauce is horrible. AWFUL. You are much better off eating somewhere else. I even went there with low expectations because of the negative reviews I read...and i was still disappointed. I wouldnt put this place up there with olive garden, i'd put it way below chef boyardee. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Is this a restaurant that one would probably need an advanced reservation for? My DH is named Tony :) so for obvious reasons I think it'd be fun to go here. I'd just rather not be tied down to a specific time if we didn't have to be.

Also, anything specific there that we should get?

I know it seems better to just walk in when you get hungry but I would never risk not having ADRs for any place. I have heard to many people w/ horror stories of wait times. Anything in MK will book up fast.

Why would you be glad? You've never been there. So, even if 15 people give you good reviews and 2 people give you bad ones, you'll never eat there?

Hmmmmm...ok.

I also love the comment about not being able to swallow spaghetti and meatballs. LOL! Please--so many others have eaten it and found it to be ok and yet, she can't even swallow it.

I'm so sick of these made up bad reviews and the exaggerations. Such a waste of time.

Im sorry but there are a lot of bad reviews about Tonys. I know for a fact im not the only one. I've tried it, and hated it. Ditto for my son. If you like it, fine. But dont bash others just because we dont agree with you. If your sick of hearing about it, then dont read the thread. Simple. It is not an exaggeration or made up. Been there, ate it, hated it. If your passionate about the place (which you clearly are), good for you. But dont flame others for their opinion.

Say "yes" to the ADR always at MK!

And having been there for both Lunch and Dinner, I would recommend the Dinner menu more. In either case, enjoy!

ADR- YES. We've done it both ways, but with the dining plan these days whether it is free or not, the restaurants are tough to fly by the seat of your pants with, IMO.

Food at Tonys? Our family's experience is as follows. Any of us who have ever ordered the steak have been pleased. (I LOVE the steak there). The pasta has been mixed reviews. My young adult children and my youngest (preteen) like the pasta dishes, including chicken parm. DH however, isn't thrilled with the pasta dishes. Recently we have only been there for dinner. My daughter loved the raviolis.

Good luck and have a wonderful trip!!

We had a terrible dinner there this month. The fried zucchini was bland. My mushroom tortelloni (ordered at waitress' suggestion) was horrible. Swimming in greasy olive oil. Just ick. Supposed to be served in a vegetable broth. Worst looking broth I've ever seen. Husband's mahi mahi special was slightly undercooked - and not at our request! Now maybe if we'd stuck to the chicken parm, we'd have done better. :) I also couldn't believe that we had our check in 35 mins. Usually wouldn't mind that at Disney, but this really felt rushed.

This October will be our 61st trip and have never been to Tony's that you did not have to get a ADR. and then have to still wait. to me is glorified Fazolis but my sister and her hubby have to go there each trip..it is packed every time so will give them that:thumbsup2 personally I like chicken parm they like the meatballs...when I book if park closes say at 7 then that is the time I book. If park closes at say 9 PMI still book in the 6-7 range and then walk around after eating:thumbsup2

The last time we went, we had a great experience. We were able to sit outside and watch the parade.......it was pretty AWESOME! The food was good when I went. I hear that it can be hit or miss........

We were actually really pleased with our meal at Tony's. I was a bit nervous b/c of the reviews, but my Dh and I really loved our meals and the kids ate really well there too.
