I have had dinner meals at Tony's about three times now. I am a big fan of Italian food and really love my pasta products. The atmosphere is a little noisy but nice. The wait staff has been pretty good there and prompt. However, some of the meals are a little hit and miss.
For instance, I'm fairly simple. I like Spaghetti/Meatballs which Tony has on the menu. The meatball will sit in your stomach like a rock and the tomato sauce is a thick, sweet, pasty sauce that says right on the menu that they use the Butoni brand of products in their entrees. Butoni is like Ragu basically. I have to add water to the sauce to make it more realisitc. I almost can't believe that Disney cannot create a easy, fresh tomato sauce of their own for such a simple dish. I can open a can of whole tomatoes, saute some garlic and onion in olive oil, add a few spices and I would have a better winner than their sauce and inexpensively.
Now, my husband has had some entrees that were really nicely prepared and well thought out but pricey 25 dollars +. I just think for the money that I would rather eat at say the Crystal Palace for that park anyway.
I would say at least try Tony's once; it is not horrible by any means.
