Just read your review of Brown Derby again since dh and I are going there soon. We will be paying out of pocket for the Fantasmic Dinner Package. One dumb question - wondering how to get them to allow a shake and Virgin Pina Colada for the drinks? Is it up to the waitress? We asked for that once at Coral Reef and they said oh no it wasn't allowed.

At every place we ate I ALWAYS asked if we could get anything other than soda. Most places allowed it. So it never hurts to ask, unless it's something that will get you slapped or kicked in the treasure chest. In that case your on
your own...don't say I didn't warn you. Good luck with your beverages.

Funny you asked, she went back to ALL of the glorious meat groups.She caved in about a month ago so she didn't give in right away. I am glad I amuse you. Did you read the previous years?

CHERRY CHOCOLATE COKE

I NEVER drink regular soda, but I love this concoction, plus it's vacation.
The waitress was surprised by this combo. I was shocked she had never heard of it. Maybe it's a philly area thing? But she did a great job of making it. If you like the above mentioned flavors, order it and you will see how good it is. Or just make it at home, why the hell did I not think of that until now?
I think I am going to the store to get some cherry juice and chocolate syrup.

ONION RINGS

They give you a TON of rings. They are as good as last time. Crispy, not to
greasy. My only suggestion would be to season them as soon as the come out of the fryer for better salt coverage. But who am I to tell them, I am just a Internet food reviewer, they could care less about my suggestions.

FRIES

Nothing special,the onion rings are WAY better. I love fries, but these just
don't do it for me. Maybe if they but cheese on it, yea thats what it needs
CHEESE. It makes anything better, even open wounds.

VEGGIE BURGER

WIFE: AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL, I can't believe they don't have a real veggie burger. This is just a boca burger. YUCK!
ME: I DID NOT try it, but just look at it, would you eat it. I might eat it if I was in a bear trap stuck in the woods and already ate all of the greenery around me, thats if I didn't bleed out already.

DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER

AHHHH real meat. It was very tasty and juicy. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. I don't like anything on my burgers (except bacon,onion and cheese) so a good burger must be seasoned and seared just right. I had fruit on the side, it was good. But it's just fruit. I really wasn't that hungry by the time this came out but still managed to eat every last piece of that tasty tasty cow. Thanks Betsy you were delicious. ( that sounds like a cows name,right?) MOOOOO

MILKYWAY CAKE SUNDAE

YUM & YUM. It's frigg'in ice cream, cake & candy. What the hells is not to like, right?

NO WAY JOSE

Let me say, Mr.Jose I love you. With all your peanut buttery insides, and how the chocolate fudge just streams through your veins. How you also have tasty balls of vanilla ice cream just sitting in you with droplets of chips all on your head. Your frothy cap of whipped cream is delightful as well. Thank you Mr.Jose. You were so good. We will always have Beaches & Cream. Remember me OK?

Beaches is a great place to get ice cream & burgers (which most of you already know) The place is small, so most times there is a wait, but worth it. If you stop by say "HI" to Mr.Jose for me,OK?

that is so funny you said that about the chocolate cherry coke! im from south philly too, now live in delaware county, and that is the only thing i get to drink when i go to nifty fiftys! so it must be a philly area thing!!! glad tos ee you stumped her on that! loving all of your food pics by the way. me and my husband were there for our 1 year anniversary in september of 2008 also and we got that menu from narcoosee's too! also love your comment on the cannoli!!!! nothing can compare to our bakeries!

MMMMM Cannoli's I am in the NE phila area so I only could get it when I head to center city. Happy you liked the reviews.Enjoy the other reviews as well.

Kind of scary that the chef at the California Grill doesn't know his tart from his lasagna! Petty as it is, I love the fact that some of the spendy restaurants that I just can't afford didn't live up to your expectations!

BTW...most of my friends who are vegetarian like to take the moral high ground, but, my friend, you deserve special kudos for not complaining about all the fungi you were exposed to on this trip. UGH...God bless your wife for being willing to eat the bottom feeders! I think she owes you a "Crabs Fear Me" t-shirt for being willing to taste the soup!

Since this trip my wife went back to being a full blown meat eater. So our next trip will include her eating the MOO MOO and CLUCK CLUCK once again,
making my trip nicer. Since we can split 2 different meat dishes. HAHA.

What 2 restaurant did you put on your next time list do to my report? Just curious.

I really don't feel the most of the Disney fine dining restaurants warrant a second visit or certainty a out of pocket trip expense.
