Tonight is PROM!

DD15 a sophomore is a server and then will be at the dance and after prom party. The dinner is only for Jr and Sr class, but the dance is open to all of HS.

DD had her manicure and pedicure this morning and is doing her hair now. Her date will drive up for the dance and after prom party. He called and asked her what car she would like him to bring. He asked if her dress was poffy so she could get in. So her options are his dads classic Corvette or his moms big Dodge truck. She cant decide! She kind of wanted him to bring his 1959 Ford Pick-up. But I think she might be leaning towards the corvette.

How sweet is that? He said its her prom and her choice on the car.

Our daughters is also tonight the the Dolphin at Disney. My wife took her to the nail, hair and make-up place today. I am taking her to some friends house in Orlando very soon where a group will meet up, going to take a lot of pics and off they go from there.

DS is only a freshman but is going with a group of friends tonight to their (the friends') prom. It is an all-girls school and is small, so all grades attend. They will be attending a dinner then the prom. No after-party, thank goodness. Oh, I'm so not ready for all this!!

I'm surprised there are proms tonight. In this area most of them are next week or the week after because the SATs were today.

I hope everyone has fun at their proms. DD is a senior and will be going to her first prom this year. Her school only has a senior prom. I am already a nervous wreck about her going on her first actual date and she is 18. She has been so busy these last four years, she has not had time to date and I have been really happy about that. Her prom is not for a few weeks, but we have been planning for the last four months!! LOL.

Apparently there are proms for at least one local High School tonight... or a lot of teens decided to get dressed up for no good reason and go out to eat!

We saw some girls all dressed up at Texas Roadhouse tonight. The boys with them were not dressed well at all. My sons will NOT be going to the prom dressed like that. If I had a daughter, she would not be leaving with boys dressed like them. There were three girls & three boys. The girls had obviously spent the day getting their hair & nails done. They had nice dresses on. One boy had on jeans, a sports jersey, sneakers & a baseball cap - ok it all looked brand new. The other two boys both had black dress shirts on - no ties. One boy had black dress pants & the other had kahki dress pants on.n MAYBE those two were ok but Mr. Gangsta Wannabe - no way.

Yea, I did notice some of that too. The Sneakers don't bother me so much, but jeans? I mean, really? You can't go buy a pair of Khakis or something?

Though I did enjoy one guy... his suit was hunters camo! (I live in TN... so it works here lmao).
