Tom's Shoes Opinions

My DD12 wants some and I told her it would be her money if she wants another pair of $50 canvas tennis shoes ( Ibought her Vans in August). She is really hard on shoes and her feet may not be done growing, so I don't regularly buy her pricey shoes (except dance shoes). She lives in flip-flops half the year anyways -- luckily those are cheap.

My daughter is getting a pair of burlap (natural color) Toms for Christmas. I think they are summer shoes but she asked for them for Christmas.

One of my dd's loves Tom's. I will say that the glitter ones hold up better than the plain cloth ones.

There are also Bob's made by Skecher's that are similar and a little cheaper, I think. They may not have the same coolness factors though but you might want to check them out as an alternative.

I have never tried a pair, seen a pair in person etc. However my cousin bought a pair because she felt it was a good intention.... and afterwards learned that they are donating shoes to small, poor economies - and putting LOCAL producers out of businesses.

If you love the shoes because you love them - go for it. But if you want to buy a pair for the philanthrophic (?) then make sure you do some reading.

I have four pairs-- they are really comfortable for all day wear and walking, and way cuter than tennis shoes.

My oldest pair (I've had them a year) just developed a hole in one of the seams, but since they've lasted a while, it's okay. They run $40 where I buy them (local shoe store) and I feel it's a good value considering how much I love them.

They are very overpriced but trendy so I've bought 3 pair for my daughter. The glitter hold up the best and next is the canvas. Dont buy the burlap! They will have holes in not time!

My son's GF (they're both 25) wears them all the time. She loves Tom's shoes and has never had a problem with them holding up. Nordstrom's sells them-I've seen them (and Bob's) in the stores.
