Tom Staggs responds to D23 bust!

It is not an expansion sorry!

TLM replaces 20K capacity
Dumbo is just a redo of Starland/TTF no expansion there.
Mine Train is being added but SWSA is closing.
Then you have the restaurant that replaces the AL Veranda.

Yeah, it's more of a replacement than An expansion. The Fantasyland Replacement, coming 2012!! ... Doesn't have the same ring to it.

Agreed and don't get me wrong I'm for FLR and it is a much needed restoration of capacity. It's just not the massive expansion Disney is making it out to be.

The Imagineers say that the Mine Train coaster won't open until late 2014. IF it opens it will be in 2015 IMO

- Aulani
- Disney Dream
- Disney Fantasy
- Shanghai DL
- FL Expansion-
- DCA Expansion Cleanup

You need to give them a break and be happy with what you have. Also, building a park isn't an expansion, it's building a park. So yes, this is one of the largest expansions.

Hey, not to hijack the thread....but did they ever sort out the yearly maintenance issue with Aulani so they can begin sales again? That is a bigger than big black eye for DVC.....they hardly mentioned Aulani at D23. D23 is probably their BEST sales opportunity.

Anyone hear?

I'm REALLY hoping the Mine Train Coaster does not turn out to be a repeat of the Yeti and DL Fantasmic Dragon. At least the dragon finally made it "onstage" and is wicked cool.

Disney no longer the leader in complicated systems as they once were. But hey, when you slash budgets and staff, what can you expect. "Build me a cheap Yeti.....they get a ...... well, you know he rest!
