Can anyone tell me about this? I heard something about finding paint brushes. I've been to M.K. many of times but we always miss T.S. Island.

Its one of my favorite place in the park, a great place to get away from it all.

The paintbrushes are a game. You find them take them to a CM and get a "top of the line" fastpast for a busy atraction.

You usually have to be on the first boat over to find a paintbrush. :D

We found a paint brush in December!! The funny thing is, we didn't know there was a scavenger hunt!! We were playing on the far side of the island and saw the paint brush on a crate- we thought it was odd because all of the props were glued down except the paint brush. When we got to the raft to go back to shore DH overheard someone talking about a paint brush and scavenger hunt...needless to say, he ran all the way back to get it- I told him that it wouldn't be there anymore, but it was! We thought the prize might have been a part in the parade, but it was a certificate for priority entrance at SM or TM. It was fun nonetheless!

Would this be a fun outing for a 3 and 5 yr old?
Or am I probably going to lose them in the first five seconds?
:)

Glad to hear they still do the paintbrushes--congrats, Dwfanatic on your find :)

what about for two adults? would we enjoy this "side trip" or do you think we'd wish we hadn't "wasted " our time?

thanks

Even without the paintbrush expedition, I'd put Tom Sawyer on the list... with or without kids. I'm in the "never had 'em, never will" category but I absolutely love Tom Sawyer Island! You'd have to have a heart the size of a pre-transformation Grinch not to get a little kick out of this place! Plus, sitting at Aunt Polly's drinking a lemonaid is a great way to get away from the crowds!

For many years we skipped Tom Sawyer Island but once we went over we loved it. We have never skipped it since. The caves and bridges are fun. It's nice and you can sit and relax while there.

we are definately going to put this on our list of things to do for our upcoming trip. i sure hope we enjoy it Richard, i'd hate to find out, especially just before xmas, that i "had a heart the size of a pre-transformation Grinch" :( LOL:D

It is my 9 year olds favorit place! We didn't even know about the paint brush! Have fun. (For a 3 and 5 year old, it's a lot of walking, but it would be fun)
