Tom Sawyer Island at MK

Actually was there today. There isn't much to do there and Aunt Polly's was closed. I would say we were on the island maybe 10 min or so. It's basically just walking through a cave, lighthouse and seeing a fort.

I think a lot depends on the ages of your kids. Mine (ages 16, 11, 5) love to go to Tom Sawyer's and run around, let off some steam. It makes a change from standing in line. My older two take the walkie-talkies and play hide and seek, while mom rests her feet at the fort. We try to fit it in sometime during our week long stays at WDW--usually the 2nd day at MK after hitting the rides we really want to do first.

When I was a kid, it was probably my second favorite thing in the park (after Pirates). Back then, though, I could get PB&J (about all I ever ate) at Aunt Polly's, and we'd always go with my cousin, who's about the same age. So if you have multiple boys who are anything like me, they should enjoy it. The fort especially, but I hear they're taking the guns out, so perhaps not so much.

Isn't there some kind of "secret" cave that will lead to a tunnel? Or is that the one at DL?

It varies with us. There are times that DS loves being there and running around so we might stay for over half an hour. Then there are times when his attention span is short and he wants to leave after a few minutes. He does seem to have fun though no matter how long we stay.
