Tom Sawyer Island at MK...

did anyone ever find a paintbrush hidden there?


My kids heard about this and would really like to find one.
Do you have to go first thing in the morning?
Any spots where you might always find one?

I have never heard of that. I am curious though.
We have only been to tom sawyers island once.
the ride over is cute, aunt polly's is fun to eat lunch at,

Lots of walking though. My kids liked it but now they are older and not really interested.

I for one would like to take a stroll back.

supposedly if you find one of the paintbrushes hidden there and take it to the CM, you get a fast pass or something.


My kids just want to find one .....they really don't care what they get! My son thinks it's like a treasure hunt!

We found one about 2 years ago... We went over on the first raft, and it was inside the mill on the wall. My son was so excited! As we were leaving, the CM asked if anyone had found one, so we turned ours in and got a fast pass (for all of us) to use on either Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain. It was different from a regular fastpass though - it was like a mini certificate. They wrote my son's name on the front, so then we could keep it for a souvenier (sp?). It was pretty cool!

We were there during the second week in June, our 8th trip. This was the first time we had found a paintbrush. Have known about it, but have never gotten to Tom Sawyer's island early enough to find one. I think they hide 5 of them.

We were the second raft over to the island in the morning. Our son's friend found the brush around the building right after you get off of the raft.

We turned it in to the CM operating the raft and he gave us each a fast pass to any ride in the Magic Kingdom park. That was nice, but the boys really just wanted to find the paintbrush.
