Can anyone tell me if there are still toll collectors on 417 out of the airport. I don't want to buy sunpass if I don't need to. thanks

Yes they do, you can always take quarters. I have a Sunpass mini and it is great. You can order them on line from sunpass.

Yes, they do collect tolls. We just pay the toll, it only takes a minute and you don't need to pay to rent the sunpass.

Just back from WDW 3 days ago. From hotel back to MCO there were only two tolls. One was for $1 and the other $1.25.

If you go all the way, there are 3 tolls, the last one unmanned and change only (no bills).

You take 417 if you fly into Sanford, if you land in Orlando (MCO)you will take 528. 417 has more toll booths.

Every time my parents pick us up from MCO, they take Old Boggy Rd. and take back roads back to WDW to avoid the tolls. I always offer to pay the tolls because it is not worth the 2,538 stoplights we get on the way back...

:lmao: My dh is the same, he hates tolls. We went over to Cocoa Beach one day and he put in the GPS no tolls. It took us to downtown Orlando and 40 minutes layer we still were not out of the city. I was so mad, I told him, I would pay him double, and just get on 528 when we came back. I don't think it cost more than $5 and half the time it took to get there.
